Why did you choose to cover this song?

I'm a big fan of One Direction. Harry is my second favorite only to Niall. Harry writes songs that have meaning and are relatable. "Falling" is my favorite track off of his latest album Fine Line. I relate to this song because it tells the story of someone who is still deeply in love with someone but has lost touch. This song is full of emotion, whether that be an apology, a cry for help, or whatever the listener perceives it as. This song helps me to know that I'm not the only one who is falling.

What does music mean to you?

Music has been a huge part of my life. I've been singing ever since I was 2 years old. I'm 20 now so that should give you a good idea of how long I've been doing this. Music gives me the words to speak when my heart is broken or I'm completely happy. I play piano, guitar, and ukulele regularly and I find an escape through them. Singing for me is a way to express all my pent up emotions. I use music to help me get through the death of a loved one, a break-up, depression, or just because I feel happy.

What do you love about performing?

I love being able to bring a smile to my audience's faces. I was in a performing group for about half my life, and I absolutely loved seeing and interacting with the audience members. Plus, as someone who likes watching performers, it's nice to give back and let others sit back and relax while I tell them a story.

Who/what are your major artist influences?

5 Seconds of Summer, One Direction, Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran have all played major roles in my music influence. I have all these artists and bands on repeat all day everyday. Seeing the emotion they have really inspires me to pursue singing, even as a hobby.
