Why did you choose to cover this song?

Cantik is Indonesian/Bahasa Indonesia for "pretty" or "beautiful" This song is normally sang by a boy who wants to flirt with a girl—and yeah, I wanted to break that rule like the chaotic bi girl I am. That's it, that's the main reason.

Besides, I prefer this song compared to all the heartbreak songs my friends like. I'm not an angsty child even if I act like one.

Originally, I was going to pick an English or Japanese song. But my mouth isn't used to those languages, so I had to use my native language instead. I stumble on my words a lot, haha.

Oh, and by the way, ignore the chirping bird in the background. She was probably singing along.

What does music mean to you?

Music is like a friend to me. It can scream, motivate you, connect with you, and it also has feelings apparently.

What do you love about performing?

I don't really sing or play the guitar for events at school, tbh I submitted this for fun. I can't really sing anyway, I apologize if I hurt any of your ears.

So instead, I'm stuck with my 4/4 sized violin. I didn't use it for this song though since it blocks out my small voice.

Even if I don't overall like the people who usually perform with me, I like the feeling when the music courses through me. The drum, the bass, the guitar, the violin, the singer, everything just harmonizes together. I can hear the music talking, and the feeling is just wonderful.

Who/what are your major artistic influences?

I'm that one kid in your class who only knows less-known singers. Lately, I've been obsessed with AURORA (she sings as the north wind in Frozen 2), Kenshi Yonezu, and as embarrasing as this is, Vocaloid.

AURORA and Kenshi Yonezu always have unique meanings behind their music. I'm not a fan of love songs (even if I sang one), my playlist proves that.

Vocaloid, meanwhile, has a lot of bops that I can blast at maximum volume when my parents aren't home. Blasting music is a must wherever I go.
