Why did you choose to cover this song?

I have a pretty powerful voice and can reach high notes fairly well (ah, one of the few benefits of not being on testosterone yet) and this song is really meaningful and nice, so when I discovered it I decided it was a good song for performances.

What does music mean to you?

EVERYTHING. Really, it means the world to me. I'm not very good at it, but I really love it. It makes me feel... free, I suppose? When I'm stressed, sick or when my parents are fighting, music makes everything better. And like I said, although I'm not great at what I do, I still love it. As my piano teacher would say: Music is in my blood.

What do you love about performing?

I love being in front of a crowd and showing off what I can do. I like it because in those times, I don't have to be shy or socially anxious. There's just me, the stage, and the audience. I especially love performing when the audience actually likes what I'm performing, haha.

Who/what are your major artistic influences?

Taylor Swift, Troye Sivan, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Melanie Martinez, Halsey, Nico Collins, Hayley Kiyoko, Little Mix, Shawn Mendes, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez---THERE ARE TOO MANY. Basically anything or anyone pop, rock, or emo.
