When they reached the location where they could easily exit, they ran into the little girls' brother. Since then, it was true love at first sight. And love it truly was.

"I miss you so much." Her voice cracked in the middle of her sentence, slowly breaking her heart at the thought of him having to leave again.

She wanted to take back those petty fights between the two; the nasty comments and the ugly looks. She wanted to take away the fights they had before he was murdered. She wanted to take away the memory of her leaving him for a cult.

She regretted it but it's what she needed at the time.

"I miss you too, but right now, I need you to do me a favor."

She'd kill for this man; she'd do anything he asked her to do. She nodded her head as a way of saying 'anything for you', refusing to blink her eyes in case he may disappear from her sight.

"I want you to let (Y/N) grow. Lead her into the best path that she could possibly put herself in."

Addy smiled at the favor she was already doing, willingly, "You know I'm going to protect her."

She said these words that were so familiar to their many promises, but she had yet to realize that Mack was actually dead and she was now (Y/N)'s next guardian; Mack's been dead to the real world for a couple days now.

Still, she spoke lightly to him as if he was gone on a vacation.

"No, baby." Mack shook his head, "She doesn't need a protector. She needs room to grow; only way she'll grow is if you lead her."

Mack had already placed a permanent person in (Y/N)'s life that was going to protect her until the end of time. He knew that if she had too much protection close to her, she would start to feel trap and act out more.

Her acting out so much was the last path Mack wanted to see for his baby sister. The person he's using to protect (Y/N) is the person that (Y/N) can not lose; no matter what. He, (Y/N)'s chosen protector, was enough.

"What does that mean?" Addy searched into his ocean eyes, knowing that look on his face as if it was her own expression.

The fact that she could read him like the back of her hand is what made this situation worse for the both of them.

"What do you know?"

For a moment, Mack's eyes released an emotion that resembled fear. What could he possibly be scared of when he's as good as dead?

"I have to go."

Mack stood from his position in front of Addy, moving off of the blanket.

"I love you so much."

Addy shook her head frantically, trying her best to grab at the pants leg of his jeans as if her life depended on his touch.

She scratched at the red blanket beneath her once she missed him, her eyes tearing up as she screamed his name over and over.

Tradgically, he never looked away from the state he had put her in. Her claws grabbed at the fabric beneath her so much that it began to change into a liquid. At the feeling, she looked down at the warmth, noticing the change in matter instantly.

How could that possibly be? She shot her head back up to look at her lover, the one person that could explain everything to her.

This time, she noticed the blood leaking from the corner of his lips. The smile he was adorning on his brightly lit face was now a frown, letting more blood stream down his chin.
