14. The Punishment~

"Kya kaha beta tumne? Family member?"

"Ji... kyu?"

"Kis family member ke jaise beta?"

"Ye jo family hai unki, inhi ke jaise mere khyal se.... kyu?", she asked while colors of her face had started fading away.

"...acha... theek hai beta dhyaan rkhna apna, main chalti hu...", said gauri ma and then left from there.

"Yaha ke logo ki problem kya hai, sab aadhi adhuri baatein kyu karte hai jaise maano har baat mein kuch chupa rhe ho... pata nhi kaise beetne wale hai mere din yaha...", thought karishma.

After that Karishma went to see the training of other people and then came back to the villa after having dinner with them only and then started going towards her room.

Meanwhile haseena saw karishma while sitting on dinning table, then she asked her, "kaha jaa rhi h aap?"

She stopped listening her and looked back and replied, "apne kamre mein sone..."

"Aur dinner?"

"Wo to maine johan aur baaki logo ke saath kar liya....", she replied normally.

"Kya fayad ne aapko inform nhi kiya tha ki you are my family member now?", haseena asked in stern tone

"Kiya tha pr usne kaha tha main free hu..."

Haseena interrupted her midway and said, "Yes you are free my dear, pr Malik tag milne pe you've to behave like one, kya kabhi kisi dusre Malik ko kisi guard ya servant ke saath dinner krte dekha hai aapne yaha?"

Before Karishma could reply, Rafiq's mother muttered under her breath, "Ek naukar ko to pichle 50 saalon se sar chadha rkha hai aur baat karti hai", which Haseena overheard.

Haseena then asked her with an angry grin, "kuch kaha kya apne begum sahiba?"

She became cautious after Haseena asked like this and thus she immediately changed her point because she did not want to mess with Haseena, "...ha ki dekho na daal mein aaj namak thori kam hai..."

"Daal pe hi dhyan rhe aapka to behtar h!"

Then she again turned to karishma and continued, " so Ms Singh ek baat aap bhi dhyan mein rkh le to behtar hoga aapke liye, ye Malik Villa h aur yaha ke kuch niyam hai aur wo follow krna sabke liye jaroori h, ainda aap kisi security guard se nhi milengi aur na hi unke saath breakfast, lunch aur dinner krne ki sochengi, mere permission ke bina.... I hope I am clear?"

Karishma was a bit taken aback for a moment that how could someone be this rude but anyhow, she agreed to whatever haseena said.

"Okay main dhyan rkhungi!", said karishma.

"You may leave now!", ordered haseena.

Karishma then immediately left from there.

Later that night, karishma was lying in her bed and was thinking, "Masla kya hai is haseena ke saath, ise kab kis baat se takleef ho jaye koi nhi bata sakta"

"Ek taraf to khud orders diye hai ki mujhe puri azadi h aur dusri taraf main apne hisab se khana bhi nhi kha skti, ye kis tarah ki azadi hui?"

"Aur use to baat karne ki bhi tameez nhi hai, wo kis tareeke se begum se baat kr rhi thi... no doubt itne bade empire ki malkin hone ke baad aur itni badi family hote hue bhi wo anath hai..."

"Jis tarah ka uska behavior hai sab ke saath, log to use aate jaate sirf nafrat hi krte honge...."

"Begum to uske maa ki umar ki hai, maa ke umar ki kya maa hi hai, bhale sauteli hi sahi... apne ammi se aise kaun baat krta hai, jaise maano kitni nafrat bhari hai unke liye...."
