Since I had an early rehearsal this morning I had stayed at my apartment, allowing me to walk to the studio "Bye Chlo, I'll see you tomorrow!" Greg yells, I chuckle as I wave back at him. Greg was my Prince Charming for this performance, and he was a great pillar to lean on especially emotionally. He had been through this a few times to know how these things go.
I plug in my earphones and shove them into my ears, I check my phone as I walked down the street lit up by the morning sunshine. I realize I had a text from someone who wasn't listed on my contact list.
Unknown Hey! It's Joel, I got your number from my sister who got it from yours. Damn I just realized how much work that was.
I laugh at Joel's text before replying to him,
Chloe Hey yea, you know Mitch and Auston have my number right, even Will.........
I shove my phone into my hoodie pocket and continue walking down the street, listening to music. After entering my apartment, I dropped my ballet bag by the door and head straight to my room, in need of a long shower for my sore muscles forming. I pull out my earbuds and blast my music in my bathroom.
Joel Well, that would've been easier considering they are sitting in my apartment.
Chloe Sounds like a good time.
Joel Not really, they all just seem to eat up all my food.
I laugh
Joel Are we still on for dinner tonight?
Chloe I don't see any other way I'd spend my night.
Joel Great, I'll pick you up at seven.
I texted him my address and he told me he'd let me get back to my afternoon. All afternoon, after my shower I had cooked myself some lunch and just watched Friends in my bed. I would look up at my phone every now and then just so I could keep my eye on the time. I'd start getting ready at six.
"Chloe!"'Kalani yells into the apartment. I checked my phone and see I got a notification from both Instagram and Twitter that Joel and the other rookies had followed me. And than his sisters.
"Your sitting in bed when you have a date with Joel Lane! Get your ass up!" She demands and I laugh.
"I have three hours hun"She flops down on my bed and I move my empty plate to my nightstand. I had told Kalani everything while she was in class.
"Fine, fine" the two of us talk about some good photos that our backstage photographer has taken, deciding on which one would be perfect to post.
