"I should've told you this a long time ago," he shoved his hands in his front pockets.

I stood there waiting for the worst.

What's the worst thing that could come out of his mouth, in a moment like this? I thought to myself.

"Well." I crossed my arms and shifted all my weight to one leg.

"I knew your mom was alive, I was sent by her and your dad to watch and protect you." He paused. "But the more I watched, the more interested I got, I wanted to know you on a deeper level. And when I finally did, I really started diggin' you." He looked over at my mom as she scolded him. "Moms pissed cause I wasn't supposed to have contact with you, she thinks I'll slack on protecting you if I'm too caught up with you." His eyes finally met with mine and I felt a rage take over.

"I. Should. KILL YOU!" I rushed to him but Twan grabbed me, turning me around making me face the wall in his arms.

I was heated. For him to know I struggled with the passing of my parents, for so long, and he still didn't even try to squeeze in the fact that they were very well alive. How do you let someone you love, live like that?

"You two, get the fuck out! And don't come back, I don't need him watching me, and if I catch you, I'll have my brothers kill you nigga!" I spat finally getting to look at them again.

"Bab-"

"Fuck you!" I held up my middle finger and waved it around. "Get out before I start shoot-, where my gun, cause y'all think it's a game." I did a spin move on Twan getting out of his grip.

"Out." I pointed the gun to the both of them that I had in my hidden compartment in the kitchen.

My mom stepped closer to me as the gun shook in my hands. Was she testing me?

I gripped the gun tighter, sending a shot to her shoulder, on accident.

"Trinity!" Twan yelled rushing over to her body.

She hit the floor, firmly holding her hand against the fray wound. She bit her bottom lip in agony, throwing her head back.

"I'm s-sorry." I stood there shaking.
"It really wasn't my intention to shoot the gun, I was gripping it tighter, a-and-"

"We gotta get her to the hospital."

"No!" Twan pulled out his phone. "I got somebody."

After Twan finished his phone call, we got her in the back of his truck and pulled off, I didn't know where we were headed.

"Let's go." Twenty minutes later we pulled up at the trap spot, and three big niggas came running out. "She in the back, get her to Ariya and tell her to fix her up."

I rushed in behind Twan and Reem, with a nervous pit in my stomach. I really felt bad, I shouldn't have been pointing a gun at her in the first place. Now I really fucked up.

"Get me the first-aid kit from the bathroom." The girl working on my mom told another girl.

She swiftly moved from one room to another as the room filled with small grunts here and there. I stared at her the whole time, watching her movements, her facial expressions. I'm still in shock.
