Gracies POV (8 Years Old)

I was sat on the sofa playing with my Nintendo whilst Jay sat next to me watching TV when Will walked in to the room,

"Gracie, didn't I ask you to clean your room this morning?" He asked and I shrugged my shoulders,

"I did" I lied as I continued to play Animal Crossing,

"Oh really?" He challenged "so if I walk in there right now it won't look like we've been hit by a tornado" he finished as he crossed his arms across his chest,

"Maybe" I admitted quietly as I flicked my eyes up to see my unimpressed big brother staring back at me "I'll do it later" I said as I laid down on to my stomach, still playing my game,

"No Gracie you'll do it now, we've got people coming over remember?" He reminded me of the people that where coming round to watch football soon,

"So?" I said sassily "It's not like their gonna go in my room, I'll just keep the door shut" I informed,

"Just do as you're told Gracie" Jay chimed in from his spot next to me on the sofa causing me to sigh dramatically,

"I said I'll do it later" I said annoyed. Suddenly my Nintendo Switch was removed from my hands,

"Willllll" I whined as I buried my face in to the couch,

"You can have it after you've tidied your room" he compromised "go" he instructed as he put my game on charge in the kitchen,

"Idiot" I muttered to my self but suddenly felt a sharp smack on my butt causing me to look round innocently at Jay,

"You know why" he said, obviously seeing straight through my innocent act "better get moving, everyone will be here soon" he urged as I slumped off to my bedroom, slightly rubbing the sting out of my butt on the way. Laying on my stomach was a big mistake!

I tidied my room at a ridiculously slow pace, but it's not my fault, I get easily distracted! I was sat on my bed playing with a fidget toy I had found when I heard a knock at the front door and rushed to get it,

"Gracie Halstead do not open that door" I heard Jay shout as he walked in to the hallway,

"I wasn't gonna" I said innocently causing him to give me a doubtful look as he opened the front door,

"Hey guys, come on in" he greeted Adam, Kim, Kevin and Hailey, shortly followed by Nat, Conor, Ethan and April.

"Hailey!" I said excitedly as I hugged my brothers girlfriend,

"Hey Gracie" she greeted as she returned my hug. Will appeared and greeted everyone as people began to bring the food they had brought in to the kitchen and put drinks in the fridge,

"You wanna help me make the salad Gracie?" Natalie asked me, but just as I was about to say yes Will spoke,

"Gracie needs to go and finish tidying her room" he informed and Nat nodded in understanding,

"It's nearly tidy" I complained "can't I just finish it later?" I begged with the best puppy dog eyes I could muster,

"No Gracie, if you'd have done it when I asked then it would be done by now" he lightly scolded causing me to frown,

"But everyone's here" I whined,

"Well you should've thought about that earlier" he replied. I groaned loudly and threw my head back as I began to storm towards my bedroom,

"Gracie" Jay shouted "come here" he gestured me in to the hallway away from everyone else,

"What" I complained sassily,
