Gracies POV (6 Years Old)

"Gracie" Jay exclaimed "Gracelyn" he repeated "c'mon, sit back down and carry on with your work" he instructed as I sat on the floor playing with my barbies,

"I don't wanna" I whined,

"Well you need to or your teacher's not gonna be happy" he replied but shook my head determinedly,

"I'm bored" I complained making him sigh,

"I know this is hard Gracie. Trust me, I do. But this is gonna be a lot easier if you work with me" he tried to explain,

"I wanna play outside" I frowned,

"You can't baby girl" he shook his head "C'mon, let's just finish these last few bits of work and you can do whatever you want" he compromised and I sighed in defeat,

"Fine" I said sadly as I sat back down at the table and Jay sat down next to me once again.

We spent the next thirty minutes finishing my schoolwork before Jay said I could be done for the day. Seen as though I'm currently not allowed my iPad or TV during the day I decided to get my arts and crafts box out and make some pretty pictures whilst Jay got on with some of his own work on his laptop with the rest of the intelligence team.

"Look Jay, I drew a unicorn" I exclaimed happily as I added the last bits of glitter to my extremely bright and colourful picture,

"Very nice" he smiled "and it looks like you redecorated the floor in the process" he added and I looked down to see bits of cut up paper and glitter littering the floor bellow me,

"Whoops, sorry" I said with a sheepish smile causing my brother to shake his head with a slight smirk,

"It's fine" he assured "C'mere, I don't want you standing in it and walking it everywhere" he said as he picked me up off the chair and moved me over to the kitchen island.

Jay tidied up the mess then I helped him make some lunch for both of us and once lunch had been eaten my energy was at an all time high and I was bouncing off the walls (the same walls I was evidently driving my brother up).

"Gracelyn. Get off the bed" Jay shouted "I'm not gonna tell you again" he added seriously,

"But I feel all wiggly" I stated as I jumped on to the floor. In the past hour I had jumped on the sofa, climbed over the furniture in the living room and jumped on my bed but I still had so much energy!

"Right" my brother exclaimed "get changed" he ordered as he threw some leggings and a t-shirt on to my bed,

"Why?" I asked curiously with a slight frown on my forehead,

"Just do it" he snapped before leaving the room.

I got changed in to the leggings and t-shirt before wandering in to the living room to find Jay there in shorts and a t-shirt flicking through some kind of channel on the tv,

"What're you doing? Why did I need to change?" I asked as Jay finally located whatever it was he was looking for,

"Because, you're gonna do a workout with me" he said and I looked at him like he was crazy,

"That's boring" I stated and he gave me a sideways glare,

"It's not boring and it's a perfect way to get rid of all of your energy" he replied,

"Bu-" he cut me off before I could protest,

"It's either this or I buy you a straight jacket" he said with a frustrated eyebrow raised,

"Fine" I huffed,

"Cheer up" he smirked "you might enjoy it."

So, I joined in with Jays workout. Well...most of it. Some of it I found tricky but Jay showed me some easier things to do instead.

"See" Jay smiled "I told you you'd have fun" he ruffled my hair as we both stood in the kitchen drinking water,

"I'm sweaty" I commented making him laugh,

"Why don't you go have a bath" he suggested,

"Can I have a shower instead?" I asked and he nodded,

"Yeah, you need to wash your hair though ok?" He asked and I nodded.

Once I had showered and washed my hair, I got changed in to some fresh pyjamas before Jay got me settled on the sofa with Moana on the TV before going to have a shower himself. I heard the sound of keys in the door and a tired looking Will walked in and dumped his bag in the hall,

"Hey Gracie" he greeted as he walked in to the kitchen and washed his hands "where's Jay?" He asked,

"Having a shower" I told him and he nodded,

"What've you been up to? Did you do your schoolwork like a good girl?" He asked and I nodded,

"Yep" I confirmed "then I made this picture" I exclaimed as I jumped off the sofa to retrieve my now dry painting from the dining table,

"Wow" he smiled as he took it from me to have a better look "that's great Gracie, I love it" he said,

"After dinner I was full of wiggly wobbly bouncy energy so Jay made me do his workout thingy ma jig with him" I explained making him laugh slightly,

"Wiggly wobbly bouncy energy" he repeated with a smile "and how did that go?" He asked curiously with an amused eyebrow raised,

"It was good, I liked it" I exclaimed and he nodded impressed,

"Very good" he commented "you'll have to try and make it a daily thing to get some exercise" he suggested and I nodded in agreement.

I soon went back to watching Moana whilst Will got in the shower after Jay who started to make dinner,

"Can you set the table please Gracie?" Jay asked, but I kept my eyes fixed on the TV "Gracie" Jay said once again,

"What?" I asked in a slightly whiny tone. I saw Jay take a deep breath before repeating,

"Can you set the table please?" He asked once again and I groaned,

"I don't wanna" I complained "my legs are all jellyie" I added,

"I'm sure they'll be fine when you move them" he replied,

"But I'm tired" I complained,

"Then you can go straight to bed after dinner" he said with a shrug "but I still want you to set the table" he added and I huffed angrily,

"Fine!" I scowled and stomped over to the kitchen and pushed past Jay,

"Excuse me" he scolded as he stopped me in my tracks by putting a gentle, yet firm, hand on my shoulder "I just asked you to set the table Gracelyn" he spoke "I'd much prefer it if you could do it without an attitude" he warned before nudging me in the direction of the cutlery draw. I decided it was in my best interest to heed my brothers warning and set the table in a more sensible manner.

Once all the food had been eaten I insisted that we played a board game much to Wills displeasure. But one look at my best puppy eyes and he caved.

"How many do I have to move?" I asked once my turn had come around,

"Well how many dots can you see on the dice?" Will asked and I squinted my eyes in concentration,

"Four" I exclaimed proudly and Will nodded in confirmation,

"Then you move four spaces" He replied and I did so with my pink counter, overtaking Will and Jay by climbing up a ladder that skipped twenty spaces!

"I'm not sure that was four spaces Gracie" Jay shook his head and I frowned at his lie,

"It was!" I exclaimed and he held his hands up in defeat. The game was soon over and packed away so Jay suggested we watch a movie. We selected Shrek and sat down together to watch it. Halfway through I could feel my eyelids become droopy and moved so I was sat closer to Will and snuggled in to his side. I guess I must have fallen asleep during the movie because when I woke up the next morning, I was in my own bed.
