Gracies POV (16 Years Old)

"-he wouldn't let go of me so I just kept hitting him until he did" I explained to the team "he eventually let go of me and I just ran" I finished and I felt Jay rest a reassuring hand on my shoulder,

"What did you say his last name was?" Adam asked as he turned towards his computer,

"Aaron Nichols" I replied and he typed the name in to the system "he's one of the best football players in the school" I added,

"And you knocked him clean out?" Kevin asked surprised "way to go kid" he complemented with an impressed tone.

"Here we go" Adam spoke once he found the information "Aaron Nichols, sixteen years old and a junior at Thomas Kelly high school. Parents are Emily and Andrew Nichols. Emily is a stay at home mom and Andrew is" he stopped what he was saying and looked at the screen with a face of dread,

"What?" Hailey asked with a frown,

"Andrew is the president of the school board" he finished and I groaned,

"That explains the principals reluctance to believe Gracie" Kim commented,

"Sorry to interrupt" Trudy spoke as she came up the stairs "there's a Mr Andrew Nichols and his son downstairs demanding to speak with one of the 'strange ass cop family upstairs' she air quoted and I looked at Jay in panic,

"I knew something like this would happen" I threw my head back dramatically,

"Just stay up here Gracie" Jay said before heading down the stairs with Hailey and Voight.

Jays POV

I took a deep breath in a bid to calm my anger as we walked down the stairs and I felt Hailey put a calming hand on my shoulder,

"Jay, don't do anything stupid" she told me firmly but I gave her no response. I opened the gate and immediately located the ass holes I was looking for,

"Can I help you?" I asked glaring at the father and son duo,

"That depends" the snotty older man said as he obnoxiously fixed his tie "who are you?" He asked with suspicious eyes,

"Jay Halstead" I replied sharply "I already know who you two are" I added as I shot a glare at the teenager causing him to shift uncomfortably from foot to foot. Good. At least he has the good sense to be nervous.

"A little young looking to be the girls father" He said with narrowed eyes,

"I'm her brother" I informed "now what exactly are you doing here?" I asked as calmly as I could,

"I want to speak to Gracelyn" he informed me and I looked at him with an amused eyebrow raised.

"That's not gonna happen" I shook my head "now if that's all I'm gonna go back to proving my sisters innocence" I said turning away from him,

"You there" he shouted over to Platt who looked at him with an icy glare "I want to press charges. My son was assaulted" he said waltzing over to the desk,

"By a 5'4 sixteen year old girl" I heard Platt mumble "I'm sorry sir, my computer has just gone down" she lied with an innocent tone. Aarons father looked as if he was just about to explode,

"You haven't heard the end of this" he said pointing to me before stalking out of the district with his son close behind him. Dick.

Gracies POV

"You have to let me go down there Adam" I tried to protest as Adam blocked my only exit towards the stairs,

"You're not going down there Gracie. It's not gonna help anything" he said firmly,
