I was strolling in the garden, having my coffee when I thought to call Farhan.
My fever went down and there is no more pain in my body so I decided to complete a few works.
He picked up the call after one ring.
"Good morning, Sir."
"Morning, Farhan. Schedule a call for me with Tushar Rawat, forward me all the important e-mails and make a brief project report and send it to me."
I came straight to the point.
"Okay, sir."
"Yeah. Anything else that needs my attention?"
I asked.
"Nothing very important but..."
"But what?"
I frowned at his hesitancy.
"Naina mam was asking about you."
He said making me stop on my tracks.
She was asking about me? Me? Woah.
"She wanted to discuss something about the construction area."
He added breaking my chain of thoughts.
"What about that?"
I questioned.
"I do not know. Should I go ask her?"
He asked.
"No. I will talk to her myself. You just do what I asked."
I replied and hung up the call.
We discussed everything about the construction area with the team, yesterday. What else does she wanna talk about?
God, I wanna to talk to her so bad, listen to her soothing voice.
Shall I go to office? No. Sarthak would eat me alive.
DM her? Nahh. Too casual.
Call her? But I don't have her number.
I should call her on the office telephone. Yes.
But what if she is busy? I don't want to disturb her.
And if I call her then how will start the conversation? I can't just say "Hello, you wanted to discuss something? What is it?"
What should I do?
Think. Think. Think.
Okay, I know what I have to do. I will talk about the project, smart, right?

My conscience mocked me but I don't care about anything right now. I just want ot talk to her so let's call her.
I already have all the office numbers so I didn't have to worry about it. I dialed the number and she picked up after a few rings.
"Hello?"
She said in her professional tone.
"Hello."
Absolute silence fell on the line after I greeted her.
"Hello, Naina?"
More silence.
"Naina, are you there?"
