(Previously: Vecto visits Charisma and catches up on current events. He sees a slide of pictures on the wall.)

Vecto watched the slide as a picture of him and Gyro scrolled by. "I've heard Morphaal's back," he informed her. "When I find him, he'll pay for Gyro's death."

She shook her head again. "It wasn't Morphaal's doing this time, Vecto. It was D'urjin Tellal's, and he's already dead. If you're going to go after Morphaal, do it because of the other crimes he committed."

"I disagree. Morphaal was responsible for the Super Soldier project and made Tellal who he was, thereby being accountable for Gyro's death. He deserves--"

"Vecto!" Charisma raised her voice. "Gyro's death has already been avenged. It's time to move on and accept that he's not coming back this time."

Vecto kept silent. For her to move on must have been a daunting task, perhaps to cover up the pain. But why should he? He lacked such emotions.

"Besides," Charisma said, softly touching a picture of Gyro on the wall, "his legacy is not dead. It will be reborn."

"What do you mean?" Vecto questioned, although he gathered what she meant.

"I'm pregnant, Vecto. With Gyro's child."

Vecto nodded. "I know."

"Huh?" Charisma cocked an eyebrow.

"According to preliminary bioscans, I detected a fetus within your womb."

"Yeah, I bet you scanned me," Charisma said, crossing her arms.

"But the likelihood of it being Gyro's child seems improbable. Gyro was incapable of reproducing."

Charisma cut him an evil stare. "Why's it all about the technicalities? We did a genetic implant on our honeymoon. We were planning on settling down until he was called off to battle. He wasn't supposed to fight anymore--had given up the A.S. but couldn't see you guys suffer without him there to help." She lowered her head in thought. "I can pin the blame for his death on all sorts of things, but it doesn't solve the problem. Gyro gave his life because deep down, he cared."

"He saved my existence for reasons I cannot comprehend."

"And left me behind," she said with a chuckle. "That selfish hog!"

Vecto was already familiar with her demented humor. He decided to make his response light. "By the way, congratulations on the pregnancy, I suppose."

"Thanks," Charisma said as she grabbed a hologram picture from the wall and brought it closer. It was a picture of their wedding. "You know, if it's a boy, I'll call him Gyro Jr. If it's a girl, I'll call her Chasity."

"Gyro would have been delighted to have a son named after him."

Charisma stared up at Vecto's human image. "You don't have to lie, Vecto. He would have had a fit."

"I suppose."

"Well you'd better get going if you want to visit the gravesite," Charisma said, sitting down in her hovering chair. "The wind storms usually blow through in the afternoon."

"Very well then," Vecto said. "It has been good seeing you."

"You too, Vecto. You too."
