Contest #54

Before we get into this:

Results for Contest 52 are on the way. I just need a little bit more time to ... finalise some things. Trust me, it'll so be worth it.

This week, I'm even less certain of what I'm doing. Inspiration has run dry. I keep coming up with what seem like good ideas, but in writing they either turn out to be really limiting or really stupid.

As such, I've decided to go with the prompt of inspiration. How fitting.

Some of y'all might remember me fangirling about The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. One of the many reasons for this is that it had the most inspirational level-up messages ever. Here are some of the more powerful ones.

Your task is to choose maybe one, or two, or all of them and try to incorporate that essence into your story.

- You realize that all your life you have been coasting along as if you were in a dream. Suddenly, facing the trials of the last few days, you have come alive.

- You realize that you are catching on to the secret of success. It's just a matter of concentration.

- You resolve to continue pushing yourself. Perhaps there's more to you than you thought.

- The secret does seem to be hard work, yes, but it's also a kind of blind passion, an inspiration.

- So that's how it works. You plod along, putting one foot before the other, look up, and suddenly, there you are. Right where you wanted to be all along.

- You woke today with a new sense of purpose. You're no longer afraid of failure. Failure is just an opportunity to learn something new.

- Being smart doesn't hurt. And a little luck now and then is nice. But the key is patience and hard work.

- You can't believe how easy it is. You just have to go... a little crazy. And then, suddenly, it all makes sense, and everything you do turns to gold.

- It's the most amazing thing. Yesterday it was hard, and today it is easy. Just a good night's sleep, and yesterday's mysteries are today's masteries.

- Today you wake up, full of energy and ideas, and you know, somehow, that overnight everything has changed. What a difference a day makes.

- You've been trying too hard, thinking too much. Relax. Trust your instincts. Just be yourself. Do the little things, and the big things take care of themselves.

- The results of hard work and dedication always look like luck. But you know you've earned every ounce of your success

In order to ensure that your submission for this week's chapter of Weekly Wattpad Contests is valid, please follow the steps below:

(1) Write your entry and make sure that it meet the guidelines or requirements for the contest.

(2) Publish it in a book under your Wattpad account. It can be a book dedicated to your entries, a chapter in one of your existing books or just a book with that single entry.

(3) Add "This is my entry for Weekly Wattpad Contest #54" before you write your entry. Make sure Contests is tagged and the contest #number is correct. Note that this does not have to be the title of your published chapter or work, simply just a text input before the introduction of your contest entry as an additional safety measure.

(4) Comment in the comment section of this chapter and state where your entry was published in your profile and the title of it book it is in.

(5) Share the love by voting, commenting and encouraging friends and fellow competitors!

What does the winner get?

Apart from the fact that as a writer you can brag about winning a freaking Weekly Wattpad Contest, the winner will also get a follow from as well as a shoutout in the next chapter, in addition to that, a detailed review as to why your entry was successful will also be published and if you have any works of your own, that will also be read and commented on.
