57. Stupidity!!!

Well this is a surprise update..

In office they arranged a party at a restaurant.. I dont have any mood.. But its mandatory for all to attend the party

After dinner, as i was going to exit the door of restaurant ..

"excuse me" i heard a male voice calling me.

I turned to see a guy running towards me..

"you are swetha's husband right.. " he asked as soon as he came nearer.

"Hmm.. Yess!!?? " i looked at him questioningly..

"can we talk for few minutes??" he asked me.. I nodded.. We both went to an empty table in the corner..

How does he know that iam swetha's husband.. ?? Wait i have seen him some where.. Yeah.. In that first year birthday function..

"you are the one who rejected swetha for marriage right?" i asked him narrowing my eyes..

"yeah.. I too have the same doubt.. Why you accepted to marry her??" he asked me..

"Why means what?? What do you mean??" I said with stern voice narrowing my eyes.

"iam not that narrow minded guy who looks only at physical appearance.." i continued.

"who said that i rejected her because of her appearance?? I liked her before the marriage proposal itself.. Infact i know her before.. Because she studied bsc in the same college my sister studied.. I saw her few times at the college.. She doesnt know me.. I enquired about her through my sister.. She is a very good person and i liked her character very much.. Infact i asked my parents to go with marriage proposal to their parents.. " he said looking directly into my eyes with furrowed forehead.

" then why did you reject her?? " iam getting the words of mallika aunty ringing in my mind..

" because she is in love with a guy.. And that guy literally begged me to stop proceeding with the marriage.. " his words made me startled.

But swetha said its one sided.. And he is saying that guy also loved swetha..

Is she lying to me.?

No.. My swetha wont lie..

" wait.. Didnt that person asked you to call off the marriage?? " he asked me. I looked at him blankly.

" wait you dont know about that person.. Did i mentioned something which shouldnt be??" he sounded anxious and said like he committed some mistake

"no.. I know that person.. But he never approached me" i said trying to act calm.. But my mind doing an inner battle with my heart.

"then u are lucky to have her" his words felt genuine.

"i know" i smiled at him but my brain is doing marathon..

"but do you know where he lives??" i asked him.

I was driving my car to home..

Lots of thoughts eating my brain.. Does swetha lied to me?? Or she dont know that sriram loves her?? May be thats the truth..

But How can a guy loves a girl but without expressing it to her.. Still he is telling everyone except her..
