Welcome back, Upper East Siders. After a long, hot summer away, I see it didn't take much time for you to dirty up the clean skates I gave you. My inbox is overflowing, so let's get to the good stuff, shall we? Spotted... Chuck Bass up to his old tricks. Poor B. I guess nothing good lasts forever. As for a certain leggy blonde by a Hamptons' pool... Looks like Serena left big shoes to fill... and someone finds them the perfect fit. What of everyone's favourite party girl? It's seems there's a new man in town, just how long will this fling last? As for Serena van Der Woodsen. You left America a star, But after your exploits in Europe... You've come back a supernova. And yet, nothing explodes without a fuse. I wonder what or who lit yours.

"Oh, well, I'm glad I have the number for city harvest," I hear Rufus say as I enter the loft. I was hoping to avoid everyone but I guess it's breakfast time.

Messy hair, sunglasses and last nights dress probably isn't my worse look but it's definitely not my best. I'm probably more drunk than hungover at this point, so definitely not how I wanted to greet my family after not seeing them all summer.

"Hey," I say in greeting as I plop onto a chair at the table.

"Nice hair," Eric reply's.

"Thanks, I done it myself," I laugh. "Isn't this a little much?"

"A little much?" Dan replies. "It makes four seasons look like one season."

"Mom wanted everyone to feel welcome while she was away," Serena says joining us.

"Or she's trying to bribe us," I respond, loading my plate up with pancakes, oh how I've missed them.

"What? No. In fact, she got us a special treat for tomorrow... a table in our name at the Van der Bilt annual charity polo match in Greenwich," Rufus tells us.

"Oh, that's tomorrow," I reply. I completely forgot and I promised Nate I'd be there.

"Lily thought it would be fun, so we are going to go have fun for Lily," Rufus adds. "Please show your family support by mimicking my expression."

I can't help but laugh at the goofy grins I see around the table and I do give one myself. Rufus isn't a bad guy so I can be nice.

"You know there will probably be photographers there," Dan says to Serena. "Are you going to be okay? You might create another mob scene."

"Oh, no, no. Yeah, I'll be... I'll be fine," she responds.

"I'm sure William has top notch security," I add.

My phone starts to ring so I excuse myself and head to my room to answer it.

"Hey babes," Oliver my new boyfriend says as I answer the phone.

"Hey, didn't I just leave you?" I respond.

"Just wanted to make sure you got home okay," he says.

"Perfectly fine," I answer.

"I'll catch you tonight, right?" He asks.

"Definitely," I respond hanging up the phone, to quickly get dressed and sort out my hair before meeting the guys.

"I know it's buyers market right now, but that doesn't mean there's actually anything worth buying," Nate tells Chuck.

"Money is meant to be spent Nathaniel," I reply with a laugh. "But I agree, why don't you just stay at The Palace?"

"I'm done living in my father's shadow and that includes his hotel," Chuck replies.
