Nicole didn't know why she ended up here.

She was driving by Matt's place when she thought about him. His wedding was tomorrow and something told her that she should go see him. When she stepped out of the elevator, she realised how stupid it was.

"Hey, home wrecker!"

She jumped when she heard the voice, hoping it wasn't who she thought it was. But there was only one person who sounded happy calling her a home wrecker.

Lilly was standing there when she turned around.

"Where are you going?" Lilly pretended to look confused as she leaned over to look over Nicole's shoulder. "Oh, are you here to see Matt?"

Nicole shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Yeah" she nodded. "I wanted to ask him about something in work, but I don't need it anymore, so I was leaving"

"Wait!" Lilly called when Nicole walked towards the lift. "You're going to the wedding, right?"

"Yeah" she nodded, looking confused.

Lilly slowly walked towards her and flipped her hair over her shoulder. "You should be grateful you're even invited"

"Well, unlike you, Y/N knows people can change"

"Can they though?" Lilly crossed her arms over her chest. "Everyone going to the wedding has to help Matt and Y/N with the preparations"

"I got them the venue, didn't I?"

"You think they need a venue that much?" Lilly scoffed, shaking her head. "I know them, they could get married in a barn and they wouldn't care less. No matter what she said, I know deep down she wants you there because she's a good person and she thinks you deserve to be friends with Matt again"

Nicole stayed quiet and looked at the ground.

"If I were you, I'd be grateful and try to help out" Lilly said, looking her up and down. "I have a favour if you want to help"

Nicole nodded and looked up. "What is it?"

"I need you to get the maid of honour dress for me. I would do it myself but I have a hen party to plan"

Nicole rolled her eyes and agreed to the favour. Although she didn't like Lilly, she still thought she had a point. She should contribute to the wedding, even if it meant tolerating Lilly's harsh words.

The store wasn't far from Matt's apartment, but Nicole had just gotten back to Boston not long ago, so she didn't know the streets. The direction Lilly gave her, drove her in a circle to get the destination that was only a few blocks away.

The problem didn't end there. Even though it was partly her fault, she would blame the next unfortunate event that happened on the dress itself.

When receiving the dress, Nicole was shocked at how beautiful it was. She held it up against her body as she looked at her reflection in the mirror. Nicole would kill to put on this dress.

Nicole played around with the zipper, not thinking much of it, but tragedy strikes when you least expect it. The zipper got stuck in the fabric and Nicole assumed she could pull on it and it would come off. She made the problem bigger when the zipper cut through the thin material, leaving a rip at the back.

"Excuse me.." Nicole called the employee. "Do you think..do you think you can have this fixed?"

The lady took the dress from Nicole and checked the problem the girl had caused. She said the rip wasn't serious and could be sewn to look good as new.

"I'll come back in the morning to get it" Nicole smiled.

"Sorry, miss" The lady said. "We can't have it ready by tomorrow morning. How about next week?"
