Y/N finds texts from Nicole in Matt's phone
You didn't expect to come home to a dark, empty apartment. It was already late, where was Matt?
You text Chris asking if Matt was with him, but he wasn't. The note you left him on the fridge was taken down, so that's how you knew he was here before heading out again. So, you tried to call him.
But, you heard his ringtone somewhere in the living room.
You found Matt's phone lying on the couch, but you found a couple of texts from the same person called Nicole, two of them being
Do you remember the room number?
If I don't answer the door, I'm probably in the shower, the doors opened
You weren't a snoop, but you couldn't ignore those. You read them again to believe they were true. If you could even make up an excuse for this texts from the girl he told you he hadn't seen in years. But after being cheated on before, you knew better than anyone it always starts with denial.
You slowly sat on the couch, your mouth agape and your shaky hand gripping the phone.
