August Alsina

"Where are we going?" Cydney asked me fa tha hundredth time.

I had a lil surprise that I hoped she wouldn't get upset ova. I'd studied ha words fa tha past few days, talked ta Hazel, pulled a few strings and now we was less than ten minutes from our destination.

Ignoring ha, I turned up tha music that was Bluetoothed from my phone.

I found myself softly sangin' along and Cydney starin' at me hella hard fa no reason.

"What?" I glanced at ha befo' lookin' back at tha road.

"Can I make a request?" She begged leanin' towards me, batting her eyelashes and pokin' ha bottom lip out in tha process.

I switched inta tha right lane, following tha road that led ta a dirt road. "After we get done hea," I started. She ain't noticed that we stopped so I point ta in front of us. "I'a sing fa ya on tha way home, aight?"

She looked around, before looking up at the words etched into the gates.

"A Cemetery?" She asked then looked at me. I cut my truck off and nodded. "You're surprise for me is a cemetery?" She asked and I nodded again.

"Who's here? Why did you bring—" she paused. I could see she was puttin' two an' two tagetha inna head so I waited.

"Why?" She looked at me again, shaking ha head while I nodded at ha.

"Listen, this is something you needa to do. You told me some thangs last night, I don't know if you remember but this was one of those things." I paused, looking at ha ta make sure she was hearin' me.

"You said you felt bad cause haven't seen your bruh since they put him in tha dirt so I pulled some strings fa you. You really don't have a choice." I got out tha truck and went ta ha side opening tha door.

"Cmon." I held my hand out fa ha ta grab it. I wasn't gonna rush ha ta do this but it was gon' happen taday.

"No, August. I can't... I'm not ready." She said panicking alil.

"Aye chill, na." I grabbed her hands holding them. "That's fine, we not goin' anywhea til you ready."

She stared at me, waiting on my next move but I wasn't going anywhea, we won't goin' nowhea.

"Can we please go back?"

"Na, we can't. I said I'ma wait til you ready and I'ma wait right hea." I leaned on tha truck.

She sighed, "August.."

"Are you ready?"

"No, but--" "Then we ain't going anywhere." I cut ha off.

This may seem harsh but this what my momma did ta me when she found out I was tryna see revenge.

"I'm just tryna help you out," I scrolled through Twitter on my phone, making use of my time.

Tha sun was shinin' hella hard fa it ta be almost Novemba. I picked the wrong day ta wear all black, but it was majority of my closet that color so I really ain't have a choice.
