Chapter 15 ~ Road Tripping With Klaus And Stefan...Not So Much Fun As You Would Think.

~Amelia's POV~

It had been almost a month that we had left Mystic Falls behind. I was bored out of my mind. First of all, we had arrived just yesterday in the mountains. The news of Klaus breaking the curse had spread and the first place that we had visited to hunt for the werewolves had been wiped out. The werewolves had fled from there.

That place was the one that was closest to Mystic Falls. They figured that our first stop would be there. So for a few days Klaus and I plotted our route. Well, Klaus did the plotting. I toured the city with Stefan, who was glad to be hanging out with me instead of my twin.

Speaking of Stefan, I really liked him this way. He was much more fun this way and not as broody as I-Like-Emotions Stefan. He had gone back to drinking from humans and I accompanied him on hunts since he tended to get a tad bit carried away. The last thing I wanted was a group of Vampire hunters tracking us down or the police investigating couple of bodies drained of blood.

"You are checking your mobile again?" I asked Stefan exasperated. We were now in a bar and Klaus had gone on a secret (not so secret) mission to track down werewolves.

Stefan rolled his eyes and I asked, "Elena still messaging you with her sob story and how she wants you back home?"

"Yeah." Stefan sighed. He locked his cell and put it in his pocket. We had grown a bit closer since I hadn't threatened him countless times everyday like Klaus. I understood what he was going through. Well somewhat.

"Have you ever fallen in love?" Stefan asked me suddenly. Well that was one thing that I didn't want to get into.

"Yes." I said softly. "I have been in love. I'm over a thousand years old Stef, I've been in love a few times."

"Any recently?"

"What are you getting at?"

"With Damon?" Stefan asked me.

"What!? No. Of course not." I cried out.

"No feelings at all?" He echoed my last statement after I explained my plan. I didn't feel like hiding anything from him anymore, there was no point.

"It was a guy named Jackson. It was a long time ago."

It was in the early 1800. I was living alone, away from Niklaus, in Britain. I was angry at him for daggering my only sister, Rebekah. Even Elijah had gone off on his own.

I tried to hurry up and get into the carriage. But it was nearly an impossible task with the dress flaring out so much. I hated these dresses. The bodice so tight that you could barely breathe and the rest of the dress cascading down, making it hard for a girl to even walk. Definitely the worst decade to live in.

I tripped on a pebble that I didn't notice and I couldn't use my powers since there were too many witnesses around. Just before I was about to face plant into the ground, I was being held up at the waist. I was brought to my feet and I turned to thank the person who saved me.

My words got caught in my throat. The guy I was looking at was hauntingly beautiful. He had dark brown hair, bright green eyes shining through the hair falling on his forehead, perfectly structured face with a straight nose, well defined jaw and soft lips that were pulled into a grin. He had the usual attire that every male of that time wore. A plain shirt with tan slack and suspenders.

"Thank you for helping me out sir." I said to him shyly. I was surprised at my behavior. I never behaved like this. I had always sarcastic and confident.
