Julian Draxler

For nanilewandowski:

You smiled as your best friend of what felt like your whole life ran towards you, a wide smile plastered onto his face. "Congratulations!" you shouted, pulling him into a hug. You had travelled out to France to see Germany play in the Euros and Julian had managed to score in one of their group stage matches and you couldn't be more proud to say that the goal winner came from none other than your best friend, Julian Draxler.

He hugged you back tightly, burying his face into your hair. "Thanks. You know that goal was for you?" he asked, pulling back and out of the hug.

"Oh, you're too sweet for your own good, Draxler," you teased, poking his side, causing him to laugh. "So, what are you doing later, I was hoping we could go out and have some dinner and catch up. I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," you smiled.

"I'd love that," Julian smiled back, pulling you back into another hug. Julian led you through the streets of France as the two of you headed towards a restaurant one of his teammates had suggested. It wasn't too formal, which you were thankful for, but it was still a nice setting. The waitress led you over to your seats, which you took quickly. After ordering your meals, you and Julian sat back and started talking. "So how's life?" Julian questioned.

"It's great. I got a promotion at work and it's so awesome," you smiled, "Jeremy was really happy too because the hours are easier for him to come and visit." At the mention of your boyfriend, you saw the smile that had previously been on Julian's face fall and shatter on the ground.

"Sounds cool," he grunted. Raising an eyebrow at your best friend, you were about to say something when the waiter returned with your drinks. After he left, you turned to Julian.

"You could at least pretend to like Jeremy, you know," you sighed, referencing Jeremy's and Julian's rough relationship to put it best. You and Jeremy had been dating for only eight months but you could swear it was love, much to Julian's dismay.

"I know, I know," Julian replied, quickly changing the topic afterwards. After the two of you finished eating, Julian insisted upon paying before leading you out of the restaurant, and towards a small bridge over the Seine River where no one else seemed to be. The two of you leaned over the edge, looking down at the river as a few boats passed by underneath. You smiled up at the stars, oblivious to how Julian was looking at you like you were the most beautiful star in the sky. Julian's hand inched towards your own, him taking your hand in his own.

You turned to look up at Julian and Julian felt himself catching his breath as he stared at how beautiful you looked in the moonlight. You smiled up at him, causing him to place a hand on your cheek before pulling you towards himself, locking your lips with his own. Your eyes widened in shock before you started to kiss back. Suddenly remembering your boyfriend, who was most likely awaiting your phone call, you broke away from Julian.

"Julian! Why did you kiss me?!?"

"You kissed back, didn't you?!?" he shouted back.

"I know, I know," you replied, placing your head in your hands.

"(Y/N), I love you, and it kills me to see you with another guy," Julian stated, causing tears to come to your eyes. "And you'd be lying if you said you didn't love me back."

"I can't," you sobbed. "I just can't."

"Yes you can," Julian said, wiping a tear from your eye.

"No, I can't. I can't, Julian. I just can't," you cried, running away from Julian and towards your hotel room. Putting your head in your hands, you cried. "I can't love Julian," you told yourself, "I'm with Jeremy, not Julian." You paced your room, your hands shaking. "But, that kiss," you sighed. "I'm a mess."

Days passed and you refused to talk to Jeremy or Julian. You returned home to Germany to collect your thoughts. Sitting in your home, you stared at your ceiling as you thought over what had transpired. Your heart ached and you knew why, you were missing the love of your life. Picking up the phone, you clicked on Jeremy's name and placed the phone next to your ear. "Hello?"

"Jeremy, I can't do this anymore, I need to get something off my chest with you, okay?"

"Yeah sure, but can this wait, I'm a little busy."

"No, it can't," you insisted, leaning forwards, "It's important."

"Well excuse me but I have an important meeting in a couple hours and I need to go over a couple things with my coworker." Hearing a familiar voice on the other end, you narrowed your eyes.

"You know what, I'll make this quick. I'm breaking up with you, and you can tell that hoe that the two of you don't have to hide anymore," you stated into the phone before hanging up. You had caught Jeremy out a couple times with this female coworker of his, who had called you one night to stupidly confess that she had had sex with Jeremy behind your back. You had been frazzled but Jeremy promised that he would stop talking to her. More determined than ever, you stood up and ran out the door. It was raining but you didn't care as you hopped into your car.

Driving to a familiar house, you checked your watch and waited patiently out in the pouring rain for a car to pull up. Julian's familiar car pulled into the driveway and he got out of the car, staring at you confused. The two of you hadn't talked for a couple days, which was an eternity for the two of you. Not to mention, you were standing, absolutely drenched to the bone, outside his house. Without waiting for him to say anything, you ran up to him and leapt into his arms, pressing a passionate kiss against his lips.

He responded immediately and you smiled into the kiss as he twirled you around. Setting you on the ground, the two of you pulled back for air. "I'm sorry, I was really stupid and I shouldn't have run off after you kissed me. I was just convinced Jeremy was the right guy and then I realized he's an ass," you stated, causing Julian to chuckle before pulling you into another kiss. "I love you," you smiled.

"I love you too," Julian replied, picking you up and wrapping your legs around his waist before walking into his house, your lips still connected as your fingers became tangled in his short hair.
