Sergio Ramos

Sergio rolled his eyes as his agent, who also happened to be his brother, enter the room with a stack of papers in his hand. "What are those for?" Sergio asked.

"Just paperwork we need to go over with your divorce lawyer," Rene Ramos sighed as he placed the stack of papers on the table. Sergio just wanted his divorce from Pilar to be finalized. She had somehow convinced him a year ago to tie the knot and Sergio was regretting that decision every moment that passed by. "Speaking of your divorce lawyer, she should be here soon."

"She?" Sergio questioned.

"Yes, I hired the divorce lawyer a couple of other agents recommended to me. She's young but she's very good at what she does," Rene explained as the door to Sergio's house rang. Rene shot his younger brother a look before turning to invite the divorce lawyer into the house. Sergio leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms in front of his chest, not at all wanting to deal with this right now. Rene walked into the room followed by who Sergio assumed to be the lawyer.

Sergio's eyes nearly bugged out of his head once he laid eyes on her. She was very beautiful, anyone could see that and Sergio found himself surprised by how young she looked. She looked his age, even younger for God's sakes. She stepped forwards to place her brief case on the table. Extending her hand, the woman locked eyes with Sergio.

"I'm your divorce lawyer, Señor Ramos. You can call me Laura," Laura introduced as Sergio leaned forwards and shook her hand. Rene sat next to Sergio as Laura started to go through the paperwork that Sergio had with him. "Alright, let's get down to business." Laura went about explaining Sergio his rights and the importance of several terms that Sergio had never heard before. They met several times over the next two weeks and Sergio couldn't help but be heavily attracted to the lawyer.

It was the day before the trial and Rene was unable to attend the meeting, leaving Sergio alone with Laura. She arrived at the normal time as she had all the days before. Sergio smiled at Laura as they exchanged greetings before Laura sat down across from Sergio again. "Alright, we just have to straighten out the last details before the start of the case tomorrow," Laura stated, pulling out the finalized documents. As she spoke, Sergio couldn't help but admire the beauty that sat across from him. It had taken three months after his wedding to Pilar to discover that he didn't love her and it took him two weeks for him to realize that he was infatuated with Laura.

The day of the trial finally came and for once, Sergio listened to what someone told him. Laura told him to sit quietly without emotion on his face and that was what he was going to do. Pilar's lawyer stood up and tried to convince the judge that Sergio had been abusive and after several other accusations, which Laura was confident were all fabricated, Laura stood up.

"Your honor, my client was not an abusive husband or an unfit husband by any measure. He simply fell out of love with Señorita Rubio and asked for a divorce because he did not want to live a lie anymore," Laura spoke. Sergio smiled as Laura stood and walked around the room, explaining to the judge how he was not a host of several horrible adjectives Pilar and her lawyer had stuck to him. Laura motioned for Sergio to stand next to her as the judge started to question Sergio and Pilar. Sergio answered honestly and denied all the ridiculous fabrications Pilar was trying to convince the judge of.

"I never hit her, I never did any of these violent crimes she claims I did," Sergio stated, his anger rising and frustration catching up with him. Laura placed a calming hand on top of Sergio's own and the defender's anger levels immediately dropped, as if someone had just handed him the Ballon D'or. Sergio admired Laura's ability to suddenly calm him, something that Pilar had never been good at. The judge called for a break in order for her to look over the evidence of the case.

People milled around the room. Laura's hand was still over Sergio's in a comforting manner, something Pilar noticed. Narrowing her eyes at the lawyer, Pilar walked over to Sergio and Laura. "You'll pay for everything you've done to me," she glared, causing the Spaniard to look up at his ex-wife with a dangerous look in his eye.

"What I've done to you? All you ever used me for was sex and publicity for your career! Don't say that I'm the one at fault here!" Sergio shot back, standing up. Laura too stood up and placed herself in between Sergio and Pilar, her back resting against Sergio's chest.

"I believe that my client would like to be left alone, thank you," Laura said coolly, causing Pilar to glare at the younger woman before turning on her heel and stomping away. Laura turned to Sergio, who was breathing heavily from the anger running through his veins. Laura reached forwards and gripped his hand in hers, giving it a quick squeeze of reassurance. Sergio, once again, found himself suddenly calm and it was all thanks to Laura. He was about to say something when the judge reentered the room.

Sitting in her chair, the judge banged the gavel before clearing her throat to read the verdict. Laura sighed in relief as Sergio was allowed to keep the house and all of his possessions. Pilar would get nothing that she hadn't previously had before the relationship and Sergio was thankful that Laura was by his side defending him. Laura led him out of the room afterwards.

They both got into his car, the paparazzi snapping a thousand photos as they left the courtroom, and Sergio drove towards his home. Sergio invited Laura inside for a drink and she accepted graciously. Kicking off her heels and peeling off her jacket, Laura accepted the glass of wine Sergio offered her, downing it quickly. "That woman was absolutely insane," Laura chuckled, "Though probably not the craziest ex I've ever seen in a court room."

"You'll have to tell me about them someday," Sergio smiled, moving his hand forwards to grip Laura's once more. Laura squeezed his hand reassuringly as the two sat in the kitchen, half empty wine glasses on the counter.

"I'd like to," Laura agreed as Sergio leaned forwards and captured her lips with his own.
