Harry Kane

For EvieHeartJamie4ever:

If there was one person in the world that Evie Johnson could not stand, it was Harry Kane. They had met through mutual friends at a party and Evie regretted ever meeting the Englishman. There was just something about him that Evie couldn't help but dislike. He just rubbed her the wrong way and Harry couldn't help but feel the same way. He couldn't put his finger on it but something about Evie made him want to bang his head against the wall.

Unfortunately for the both of them, both of their respective best friends just happened to start dating. Evie rolled her eyes as Ruby Mae dragged her to one of Tottenham's games, despite the brunette's knowledge of her loathing towards a certain striker. Likewise, Harry was not thrilled at the thought of Evie sitting in the stands while he played, after Dele had told him that Ruby was dragging her along. "Did she really have to come?" Harry asked, following his friend out of the locker room.

"Oh come on, Harry, we all know that you're secretly in love with her," Dele teased, nudging his best friend in the ribs and making Harry roll his eyes. "At least be civil with her please," Dele sighed, rolling his eyes at Harry's mannerisms around Evie. Harry grumbled some choice words under his breath before walking out onto the field after Dele to warm up for their match.

Evie stared at her nails as Ruby went on and on about how good of a couple Harry and her would make if they just opened up to each other. "If I didn't know any better, Ruby, I would think that you were trying to set me up," Evie rolled her eyes, unimpressed.

"Oh, come one, Evie. Live a little. Go out with the dude on a date, or just go straight to the bedroom, whichever works for you," Ruby shrugged, causing Evie's cheeks to heat up.

"Not everything is about physical attraction, you know," Evie grumbled.

"Says the girl who hasn't had a serious relationship in forever," Ruby shot back, making Evie shoot her an unimpressed look. The boys chose that moment to run out onto the field to warm up and Evie prepared herself for what Ruby would tell her once a certain blond Englishman ran onto the field. The players warmed up before exiting the field for the locker room. Evie waited patiently, getting into a conversation with Ruby about their jobs when the teams emerged from the tunnel.

The game started soon after and Evie watched as Dele and Harry connected on the field, getting off several shots within the first half. The half finished 0-0 and both teams retreated to the locker rooms. Evie leaned back in her chair, allowing Ruby to gush about just how hot her boyfriend looked running around on the pitch. Evie tuned her out and her thoughts strayed towards Harry, unaware that his thoughts also swayed towards her.

Their eyes had connected several times on the field and Evie couldn't help but wonder why. She was so sure that the both of them hated each other with a burning passion, yet she was questioning it now. Harry, meanwhile, was tuning out the half time speeches as he thought about Evie. He couldn't help but notice that the way her hair was styled and how her clothes and everything made her about a thousand times more attractive than Harry remembered her to be.

He didn't know what was wrong with him and he shook his head to clear it of all of those thoughts when the team started to cheer. Following his teammates back out to the pitch, Harry's eyes locked with Evie's on the side of the field. They held each other's gaze for what felt like an eternity until the shrill sound of the whistle pulled them both back into reality.

Tottenham mustered a few more shots and Harry was able to sink a shot against the unexperienced keeper off a free kick after a defender had taken Dele out. Harry walked off the pitch not long after the final whistle blew, satisfied for now. He showered and changed quickly only for Dele to jump on his back, babbling on about how he had to go out to dinner with Ruby and Evie. He grumbled a bit but finally gave in to his friend.

Not too long later, he found himself seated across from Evie as Dele and Ruby sat across from each other as well. The four of them entered a dull conversation, which was carried primarily by Ruby and Dele with each other. Harry and Evie found themselves lost in their own thoughts and each other's eyes as the night drew on. Evie stood up suddenly, saying she had to leave because she had work early the next morning.

Harry offered to drive her home after Ruby pointed out that the both of them had gotten here via Dele's car and that Evie would have had to call a cab. Hopping into his car, Evie fastened her seatbelt before staring out at the London streets in front of her. Harry and Evie remained silent except for Evie's directions. Pulling up to Evie's apartment complex, Harry offered to walk her up to her apartment. Evie accepted and the both of them privately marveled at the incredibility of the situation.

Standing outside her door, Evie pulled out her keys, only to fumble with them and drop them. Cursing silently, Evie bent down to pick them up, only for Harry's hand to lay over her own over the keys. Looking up, Evie's eyes locked with Harry's as the two remained ridiculously close to one another. Without another word, Harry pulled Evie up to a standing position. Evie unlocked her door and turned to say goodbye to Harry when his lips on her own cut her off.

Evie gasped at the sudden contact, allowing Harry to deepen the kiss. Evie opened the door to her apartment, pulling Harry inside with her before slamming the door shut. "I don't what came over me, Evie, but all I know is that I want to kiss you all night long," Harry breathed out, his chest rising and falling rapidly.

"Well, did I say stop?" Evie replied before leaning forwards and reconnecting their lips.
