2023

Taylor walked through the paddock as she tried to avoid any cameras, or people for that matter. Her trainer Hayes was long forgotten at the entrance due to her walking so fast, wanting more than anything to get to the Alpha Tauri hospitality and not come out until it was completely necessary.

The excitement of becoming a Formula 1 driver was long gone for her as she started to notice the amount of hate and discrimination she received from the media. The season hasn't even started and she was already receiving as much hate as Hamilton and Verstappen did combined together.

Pre-season testing came dreadfully slow for Taylor, she couldn't wait to finally test the F1 car for the first time, but unfortunately the comments she read online brought her energy and spirit down.

The rest of the day went as planned, Taylor would put on her race suit and helmet, get in the car and see how it felt. The first time she stepped on the throttle and accelerated down the track felt amazing, it felt much quicker than the F2 car, the wheel was much more easy to steer, one wrong movement would mean she was on the wall.

But after all this years, all the sacrifices and insults drown her way were all worth it to finally be living the dream she had set herself to achieve.

But the worst part of the day soon enough came, the press conference.

She didn't know a single driver except for Robert Shwartzman, the both of them became great friends over the years, he helped Taylor in every way possible. He knew how much she suffered mentally, Robert quickly became a really good friend to Taylor.

And what could have been worse than a press conference was having to do it with Russell, Verstappen and Leclerc.

As Taylor sat down on the chair, she nervously fidgeted as they were waiting for the rest of the drivers to arrive. Most of the journalists were staring at her as if she was an animal in a cage, making everything more uncomfortable.

The door to the room was suddenly bursted open and in came the missing drivers. They were all laughing about something before they saw Taylor already seated and they stopped their laugher. She saw as Charles eyes suddenly widened in surprise while George and Max furrowed their brows.

Taylor only shyly smiled as Charles was the first one to move forward and take a seat to her right. Politely greeting her as he sat down.
Max and George followed, and while George took a seat to her right, Max to the far end. They both smiled at Taylor, curious to get to know more about her.

"Okay, so now we can start the press conference. Charles, why don't we start with you..."

Max didn't look like he intended to take his eyes off of the girl sitting next to George. He had seen her before, around the paddock or the RedBull facility. Her name rang a bell at the back of his mind, for a reason looking at her up close made her look familiar to him.

A girl in Formula 1? Could she even survive more than a year?

She looked so young and small, so fragile. Her green eyes were focused on the table, and her brown brown hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail.

She couldn't be any good, could she? Max didn't need to worry anyways, she was in the lower team for gods sake, she probably was the just for the 'diversity' the sport wanted to include. Bringing a girl in won't change a thing, woman are too weak to last long enough in a man dominated sport, she wasn't going to last more than a few months before being kicked out.
