CHAPTER 𝟏𝟎

She walked into her house as Luke walked back to his house. Her cheeks were turned up into a smile that made her look like idiot. But she didn't care.

Her stomach was nervous, and she reached up to touch her lips gently. The feeling of Lukes still lingered. And she never wanted that feeling to disappear into nothing.

Her smile still plastered on her face as her mom walked out after hearing the front door open. "Everything okay hun?" Her mom asked concerned walking up to her smiling blushing daughter.

"Amazing" she gushed as her mom raised her eyebrows. "Me and Luke kissed" She blurted out not being able to hold it in any longer. She needed to squeal and fangirl about it, "What?!" Her moms gaped open as Delilah beamed at her mom.

Her mom's face was painted with joy, and relief as she jumped up and down. She squeezed her daughter tight as her dad walked into the entry way confused by all the ruckus.

"What happened?" He asked as his eyes flicked from his wife to his daughter. "Luke and Delilah kissed!" Her mom squealed loud enough for the Hughes family to hear.

"Bout time" He had a small smile on his face, which was a little shocking for her to see, because shes rarely seen her dad smile. "Time to start planning the wedding!" Her mom joked and turned to her dad as he chuckled a bit.

"Mom!" She whined and watched her mom with a scheming look on her face. That always meant she was up to no good. Delilahs mouth gaped open as she clearly saw her mom pull out her phone and text Ellen. "Mom!" She shouted embarrassed as her mom turned to her with a comforting smile.

"Honey no reason to be embarrassed. Its okay" Her mom stroked her cheek as her face flamed red. "Im going to bed" She announced as both her parents slowly nodded their head. Walking up to her room, she flopped on her bed with a sigh. Not wanting to face the Hughes tomorrow to save herself from embarrassment.
