you laughed as you felt your board land back on the ground, and raced after your brother.

he looked back at you, smiling, and you swerved around a picnic table. both your helmets were on your head, unbuckled of course. you had never understood the style, but willie always told you it looked 'cooler '.

you and willie were best friends, but were actually siblings. you had died together, and now cruised the world on your skateboards whenever you wanted. his had vans and rock stickers on it, while yours had blue butterflies and peace signs. he had gotten you your first skateboard when you were kids.

but anyway, right now he was bringing you to his new 'ghost friends'. ever since you guys died, you hadn't really meant anyone else, so you were excited to hear he had met others.

you took a pit stop at justin bieber's empty pool on the way, but then poofed over to the agreed upon meeting spot.

skateboard in hand, your red checkered vans re-met with the earth and you opened your eyes.

willie was beaming at three teens in front of him, but only one shared the look back at him.

that boy had a pink hoodie, and knee high rainbow socks. he had short but flowey blond hair. another had a leather jacket, with short raven hair. and the last had brown hair, slightly longer in length, and was stepping towards you.

"hey! you must be willie's sister!" his voice was smooth, and he held out his hand to shake.

"i've heard a lot about you guys!" you mentioned, while really only looking at the blond haired kid. the one willie definitely had a crush on. you knew your brother inside and out, and could totally tell before you even met the band.

"same here!" the boy said, "i'm alex!"

"and i'm luke." the boy who was still shaking your hand said, you nodded and let go.

"reggie." the leather jacket boy said, waving with a big smile. you instantly felt comfortable with the crew, seeing why willie liked them so much.

"we hear you play piano?" the boy named luke said, tilting his head slightly.

you begun to shake your head, but willie spoke before you had a chance to.

"she'll tell you she doesn't have a lot of experience and isn't good enough to get anywhere," he mocked you with dramatic mannerisms and a high pitched voice, "but she's super talented, like so dope."

alex leaned over to the others, whispering, "that means cool."

you meet his eye and smirked slightly, he noticed and returned one. willie must've taught him things, you found that rather cute.

"well, if you're up for it, we'd really like to see what you got, if you want to come rehearse with our band sometime?" luke said, taking a step back.

you nodded, beaming at the group, "that actually sounds great! but wouldn't your lifer be upset?" you looked to alex to translate your slang, but the boys seemed to be familiar with the term.

"nah," reggie said, "julie's super chill. she'd love you! she's also probably desperate for a girl ghost friend." you nodded, smiling.

"that sounds great."
