Word of the day:Perspective

We were in the car, trying to avoid the police, Smith and Smith's goon and find a new house. We had just pulled up next to a mansion sized house. I jumped out of the car and moved towards the man standing outside.

"Who are you?" asked the man.

"I'm the PERSPECTIVE buyer."

"But you're just a kid!"

"So what? I've got the money, I can buy it."

"Fine, if you'd like to follow me."

"No, I wouldn't. I just want to buy the house."

"You don't want to see the house you're buying?"

"No, now how much is it?"

"£20,000"

My father once told me that in the twenty first century, house cost a lot more than that. But they built so many they just lost their value.

"No cheaper?"

"No, take it or leave it."

"Ok, I'll buy it."

"Pardon?"

"I. Will. Buy. The. House."

"Can you afford it?"

"No, that's why I'm buying it. Of course I can!"

"Fine, can I take credit card details."

"No, I'm paying cash."

"Pardon?"

"ARE YOU DEATH! I SAID IM PAYING CASH!"

"Ok, sorry Miss. Do you have the money?"

"Yes, take it. It's here. And don't try to count it because it's all in one pound notes but let me assure you, it's there."

"Ok miss, do you have the money?"

"Yes."

I pulled out a huge brief case full of money. When he saw it, his eyes lit up.

"Anything else Miss?" he asked.

"Yeah, scram and don't tell anyone else about me. You get me?"

"Yes miss, certainly Miss."

He hadn't expected to get the twenty grand for it. It wasn't really worth it but we were loaded. In the extreme.

"SCRAM!" I shouted and he ran. Really, really fast.

-- ring ring ---

My phone was ringing. I picked it up and answered.

"Speak."

"Hello to you to. Did you get it?"

"What do you think Becks?"

"I don't know what to think. You left Luci."

"Fine, hold that grudge but I don't care."

I said putting the phone down.

Fine, be like that bastard.
