Word of the day: Chaos
"Stay quiet." whispered Day.
"What about Lucy? And Dani?" I replied, my voice just as low.
"We hope they got away..."
I don't how long we sat in silence in that alley, but it felt like an eternity.
After an age, Day spoke again "I think we should move."
"Why? They won't even know it was us!"
"I think they will..." said Day.
"Why?"
"Because of CCTV, and also because they've been keeping an eye on you since your dad was killed. Paris told me, right before she shot me."
"But..."
"Kemi. We NEED to move, get under cover, out of the open."
I nodded.
He dragged me into an empty shop.
"It's not a good idea to be here..." I said.
"No, but I can't think of any thing else..."
"We should go back to the house, it's not far from here..."
"Ok, but we need to be really, really careful." Day said, before taking my hand again.
We walked out of the shop, and then saw the chaos.
