Castiel quickly got up and walked towards my door. The thought of my mom seeing him immediately made me run behind him in panic.

"Wait!" I frantically whispered.

My jaw and body froze the second it was already too late. Castiel had already opened the door still completely shirtless, his eyes trailing down at someone. "Hello." He effortlessly murmured.

"Oh-who-wow, hello!" I've never heard my mom so flustered in her own house before. "I'm sorry, have we met before?"

"No ma'am." My mom was cautious to return Castiel's extended handshake but she did anyways. "My name is Castiel, I'm a friend of Shiloh's."

"Wow that is a-a very strong grip." My mom anxiously half-laughed. "So where's my son?"

"Hi, good morning mom." Her eyes widened at me as I quickly ran out in front of him to interject.

My mom visibly processed the sight of us together as an odd smile began to form on her face. "There you are." She eventually broke the cold awkward silence. "Good morning to you to."

"H-how'd you sleep?" I awkwardly tipped my body up and down with my toes as I couldn't control my eyes from shooting all around the room in clear panic.

My mom seemed to only be further entertained at seeing how nervous I was. "I slept alright what about you?"

"I slept good, we slept good?" I couldn't help but let out my response as more of a question as I awkwardly turned towards Castiel.

"Yea I slept amazing." Castiel calmly responded without a worry in the world.

"Oh-" My mom lightly tugged down at her earlobe which was something she'd always do whenever she had realized something. "Castiel slept here?"

"Yea he did." I cautiously answered as I winced at him nonchalantly nodding at her. "Can I talk to my mom for a second?"

"Yea sur-" I cut off Castiel's response with a push against his chest which I quickly followed by swinging the door to my room shut.

"Are you okay?" My mom quietly laughed as I held onto her shoulders.

"Please don't kill me." I whispered in an apologetic tone.

"Now why the hell would I kill you?" She flinched back at the thought.

"Um-" I looked off the side for a second before looking back at her. "For having a stranger over."

She quickly brought her hand over my head and shoulder with a sigh. "Shiloh you are eighteen. You can do whatever you want because I trust you, now stop being rude and let that boy out."

I felt a large pressure escape from my chest as I turned back towards the door with an exhale. "Hey." I peeked through the door as he threw me a nod.

"Hey." We mutually felt the tension rise as I couldn't help but feel like the sole reason for it. "Is everything alright?" He softly asked.

I nodded as I let him out once more, standing right beside him with my hands locked behind my waist.

"Now how about we catch up with some breakfast?" My mom widely smiled.

My attention shot back up at that horrible idea. "He can't." I blurted out much more louder than intended.

"Awh really?" My mom's mouth quickly fell down in disappointment.

"Yea, no." I attempted to sound disappointed as I spoke pass Castiel's confused facial expression. "I wish he could but he was just about to go, actually."
