A/N: Before we start, this is a fear street, Sam x reader type one-shot, all credits to Leigh and the screen-writers who created the movie trilogy. I am not trying to take credit for all the work, just mostly taking a character and the best friends and brother of the main character will most likely be based off of Simon, Kate and Josh. Another thing i'd like to mention is that I struggle with writing and consistency so.. yeah, don't get mad at me when i don't post for a while and i also struggle with overthinking, so, i'd love any feedback y'all have. PEACE ✌🏻

It was a simple yet cold night in the town of Union. Y/n was hidden from her friends as she didn't have the courage to see anyone after her fit of rage that she had recently after all the stress she has been having with everything around her. She couldn't have done anything yet no matter what she tried, it always seemed to be that things never worked out for Y/n like how she wants it to be.

Sam offered her mother's house as a place to stay hiding out in as Liam would stay with Olivia or JJ, but he continuously claimed that he'd rather be alone since he and Olivia were in an argument. But Y/n couldn't allow it, she didn't know why or how but whenever it came to her brother, she couldn't afford Liam to be on his own on the nights that Y/n decided to stay at Sam's house.

"Honey. Can you come downstairs and talk with me for a moment?" Sandra, Sam's mum, (I'm Scottish, alright? leave me alone) asked Sam from the bottom of the stairs as Y/n was fast asleep in Sam's arms.

"One second, mother." Sam lightly spoke, her mother hearing and waiting in the kitchen; Sam turned to Y/n and admired her for a moment, she looked so calm in her sleep that it almost made her think that nothing was wrong in that moment, "I'll be right back." Sam whispered to the brunette girl that had been lying on top of her for the past hour. She lightly moved Y/n off and got up, she headed downstairs and closed the door behind herself then headed down into the kitchen to find her mother cooking.

"Sit yourself down, I need to tell you something." Sandra told Sam which worried her as she really hoped that her mother hadn't found out about Y/n staying over as she wasn't the biggest fan of her. So, Sam swallowed the lump in her throat and sat herself down, her mother checked to see if everything was turned off before turning around to Sam. It pained the blonde haired girl as she just wanted to know what her mother wanted to speak with her about so she could go back upstairs to the girl she needed to take care off the most. Sandra turned around and sat herself down across from Sam. "I need to leave for a few days and stay with your gran. She's..." Sandra paused as she tried to think of the right word, but Sam was very unbothered by this and just wanted the conversation to speed up, "struggling..." Sandra told Sam who stared her down with no emotions as she was still filled with fury at their last conversation as Sam had attempted to talk to her mother about Y/n and how she needed a place to stay but Sandra being the Karen she was, didn't like her as she knew her drunk of a father and how competitive he was toward her. So, she reflected that hatred onto his child who Sam had befriended.

"Ok, is she alright?" Sam questioned, hopefulness in her tone as she stared her mother uncomfortably. Sandra nodded her head.

"Y-Yeah, just everything is a little hard for her. She needs support. But I'll be back Monday night, is that ok with you? I bought some extra food." Sandra explained to Sam, Sam hummed in delight knowing that she didn't have to hide Y/n for a weekend and that her friends could come over at anytime as well which slightly cheered her up from all the stress that has been going on.

"Yeah. Sounds good." Sam answered her question, Sandra nodded her head as she got up, grabbed the keys and headed toward the door as she had already had her stuff packed and in the trunk of the car.

"Bye honey." Sandra said to her giving her a small smile, Sam gave her a quick and painless smile as she hesitantly looked around, struggling with eye-contact as she does, before her left and closed the door locking it behind herself. Sam watched, from the closest window, her mum getting in her car and left as her gran was 45 minutes away. So, once Sam saw Sandra leave the street, she rushed back upstairs and into her room. She closed the door quietly and settled herself back down slowly on her bed, Y/n started waking up and panicked as she tried to hide since she didn't recognise that it was Sam but Sam cupped your face with both hands as she stopped your rushing thoughts, your chest rising and falling quickly as you were slightly breathless.
