"Uh... w-well, hey... Nat. Y-You need a tissue?" Y/n asked trying to brighten the mood,

"Can you give us a second?" Heather asked Y/n, she nodded her head and walked past Natalie who death stared her, Y/n kept her head down as she didn't like it when Natalie death stared her, even though she was taller. She still felt small.

She left and talked to Bishop while she waited on Heather and Natalie to come back,

"Are you serious? You and Y/n L/n?" Natalie asked shocked and surprised. Heather nodded her head.

"Yeah... well no, nothing official. We're kinda just sneaking around." Heather casually explained,

"Like a casual relationship? All of the hook-up's but none of the actual relationship yet you can still hook-up with other people?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah, but we're exclusive. Only each other." Heather explained to which Natalie hummed in agreement.

"Gotcha." It was quiet for a few seconds, "Do you like her? Cause that didn't look like 'just a hook-up' type thing to me." Natalie pointed out, Heather blushed furiously.

"I want to be more, but I haven't told her." Heather admitted which Natalie smiled at,

"She likes you too." Natalie grinned out, crossed her arms and looked at the ground smiling.

"Please don't tell Bishop." Heather begged which sparked Natalie's curiosity.

"Are you ashamed of your hook-up's with her?" Natalie asked. Face furrowed and panic in her eyes as she knows how much Y/n likes Heather.

"What?! No! No! I really like her." Heather expressed, "I just-" Heather paused knowing she'd get shouted at. "I just haven't came out to him yet..." She admitted.

And this is where the conversation shifted,

"W-What? You told me you came out to him months ago!" Natalie complained, but then sighed and dropped it,

"I-I know... I know. I just chickened out of it." Heather said disappointed in herself, Natalie hugged her and the two hugged it out.

"Well... does she know that he doesn't know?" She asked.

"Yeah, when we first started hooking up, when we established rules; I told her that I'd tell her when I came out to him and you, so when I told her that I came out to you, she told me to do it when it feels right and that i'm ready, hoping that she's not forcing it upon me to come out which I said she wasn't because she's really respectful and-"

"Heather!" Natalie laughed out, "I don't care, as long as she treats you well, I say you tell her how you feel. She obviously wants more with you too." Natalie pointed out, Heather smiled.

"I know the perfect way to ask her!" Heather exclaimed and started telling her.

*Two days later*

Heather set up something at the lake for Y/n but she showed up late to her own surprise, she rushed out of her car to see Y/n not there, she waited for hours and hours until Y/n finally showed up but late at night, there was fairy lights that still lit it all up. 

"There you are! Where the hell were you?" Heather angrily asked Y/n as she had a smile on her face letting out a small scoff, looking around impressed, she stopped her walk and searched the place then looked at Heather with admiration in her eyes. "Don't smile at me! I did this dumb, dumb stupid thing for you! And I probably just embarrassed myself." Heather complained which made Y/n's eyes fall softer. "Right here, I was going to give you a gift and I was going to give you a small speech! Then I brought your favourite snacks so we could watch the Sunset fall together. Where I was going to tell you! That I... r-really, really like you! More than friends and I'm done hiding my emotions, I want you. Okay? You got me!" Heather expressed as Y/n looked at her with soft eyes, her head slightly tilted. "It's like... like your a disease or something! I'm infected by Y/n L/n and-" Heather let's out a small chuckle out of nervousness which Y/n simply seemed to smile at her for. "and I just... I can't get a break from everything, I simply just want some alone time with you but everything just seems to mess up! I-It's like... it's like the world trying to tell me to just admit my feelings and when I do! You show up late! L-Like super late! And that's you're fault. Not mines-"

"Heather-"

"No! Don't say anything. You can eat yourself and open the girl all alone. I'm going home. But before I do! I want a reason, just one reason on why you were so late to this date." Heather breathed out as she started to walk her way toward Y/n, for a few seconds, she stopped. Simply stared. Y/n placed a hand on her neck as the other was on her waist, she pulled away with a smile on her face.

"The reason I was late?" Y/n reiterated, Heather nodded her head. "I was getting this made but they kept delaying me, no matter how much I tried to pay for me to get it quicker. They were late." Y/n explained and handed her a book, she read the front cover as it read, 'Short stories by Heather Nill', she blushed and looked up at Y/n, she nodded her head and stood next to her, she moved her hair behind her and placed a small kiss on her neck making sure to breathe down her neck as she knew it would send shivers down her neck. "All for you." She whispered in her ear, her hands on either upper arm. Heather opened the book and searched through it, it was a rock-solid book, not the ones where you could bend. Heather turned her head to Y/n who was smiling. "Did I get you a good gift?" She asked hopefully wishing that she didn't waste her time.

"Are you kidding? I love it." Heather exclaimed as she hugged Y/n, Y/n smiled widely feeling proud of herself as she hugged Heather back but once they pulled away, she took a sharp inhale with her eyes narrowed.

"You were going to admit your feelings for me?" She asked with a teasing smirk on her face, Heather looked down at the ground trying to hide her blush but Y/n laughed slightly, "How about we pretend that you didn't tell me what's going to happen and we go on the date? Then you can admit your feelings and I'll ask you out? How about that for the date?" Y/n questioned which Heather looked up at her smiling,

"I'd like that." She hummed in delight, Y/n wrapped her arm around Heather and the two walked off and they went with the plan, Y/n opened the gift and it was a ring that she had been wanting for over a year but never bought as she wanted to buy it with Heather, so Heather got it for her; then they talked and ate while the night got darker and darker as the fairy lights shined brighter and brighter while more and more stars appeared. The two sat near the edge of the lake and looked up. 

"So, when am I going to get to hear the infamous speech of how much you have a crush on me?" Y/n asked teasingly which Heather nudged her for. Y/n laughed at this and smiled widely, "If it makes you feel any better, I feel the same way." Y/n told her, "So, I'm giving you a choice... Heather Nill." She started standing up, she put her hand out which Heather took. 

They moved to the middle and Y/n spun her around and pulled her close as she started to play music, Heather blushed at this action.

"So, what are my choices?" Heather questioned.       

"You can either do your little speech, or we can skip to the good bit and I just ask you out."              

"I say we skip to the good bit." Heather hummed out, Y/n laughed out. 

"Will you-"

"Yes." Heather cut off.

"Will you go-"

"I said yes."

"Go-"

"Are you not listening to me? Yes." 

"Will you go out with me?!" Y/n shouted making the two roar with laughter,

"Do you love not listening to me?" Heather questioned, Y/n nodded her head.

"Is that a yes?" Y/n teasingly asked, Heather scoffed.

"Of course." Heather agreed and the two kissed smiling, holding each other.
