A/N: Deena x Sam one-shot! HWG!
------------------------------------------------------

Deena was laid down on her bed as she was blasting her mixtape that she had made, she hummed here and there but mostly spaced out here and there. There was a rapid tap on the Deena's window which didn't worry her that much as it was most likely Simon or Kate or Sam.
She pushed herself up and off of the bed as she let out a grunt while she got up. She took her time walking over to it and once she pushed the curtain's open, she saw Sam. Tired. Stressed. Her chest was rapidly moving up and down, and Deena felt her heart drop. She quickly opened the door and helped Sam in,

"Talk to me, what happened?" Deena asked quickly before closing the door as Sam kept pacing back and forth, she was shaky and panicked. Deena moved in front of Sam making her stop, she sat her down as she grasped her hands on Sam's, "What's wrong?" Deena questioned worriedly, her eyes filled with panic.

"My-my mom... she-she found out." Sam cried out then rested her head on Deena's shoulder. She tried to calm her breathing down but struggled, Deena slowly wrapped her arms around Sam's waist pulling her close. "She kicked me out... what-what am I going to do?" Sam stuttered out as Deena moved back, Sam panicked once again, "I can't- I need a place t-t-o st-stay... I can't--" she started to shake her hand and Deena placed her hands on her cheek.

"You can stay with me, as long as you'd like." Deena assured as she moved next to her and Sam practically jumped into her arms, straddled her waist. Deena placed one hand on the back of her head as the other hand was on her back, she places a kiss on her shoulder and head then moved the hair out the way as she cried in Deena's arms. Deena gave Sam's neck a light trace around as it comforted Sam quite a bit, after a few minutes of Deena doing that; she had calmed down and it was silent. Nothing but Deena's music.

"T-Thanks..." Sam thanked as she was embarrassed. Deena moved back and lifted her chin slightly making her look at her,

"It's okay, here, let me take you on a drive. It might clear your head." Deena told her, Sam simply nodded her head. She removed herself from Deena's lap and Deena got up, turned the music off, handed tissues to Sam and helped her wipe her tears away, she gave her a soft kiss on the cheek then went down to tell Josh what had happened, he understood and agreed that he'd be alright. Deena grabbed her keys, grabbed the jacket that Sam liked the most that she wore, and let Sam wear it as it comforted her.
They got in the car and Deena started to drive around playing music quietly as she drove her way to Sam's favourite Ice Cream shop. The whole drive, nothing had been said. Not from Sam, and Deena didn't know what to tell her apart from that everything will be okay and that she was there for her.
They soon arrived at the shop and Sam sniffled and turned to Deena giving her a small smile,

"I'll go get it," Deena announced as she gave Sam a small nod. Sam agreed quietly letting Deena go. She kept her eyes on Deena as it was 2:32am and Shadyside wasn't exactly the mist safest part of town ever. Deena kept her glances at Sam every 2 minutes; she couldn't help why she was doing it but it was as if it was a habit. Once she got the Ice Cream and had paid, she walked back and got in the car, she handed it over to Sam. "Here you go," Deena groaned out as Sam gave her a thankful look the started eating her ice cream, Deena had some but set it in the pocket and drove to an abandoned car park, she went all the way up to the top and parked. Sam stared her down confused as Deena grabbed her Ice Cream, unbuckled her seatbelt and got out, Sam got out with her and saw her climbing on top of her car.

"What're you--" Sam paused as she stared her down confused, "What're you doing?" Sam questioned as she stared at Deena as if she was crazy.

"Star-gazing, or course." Deena answered truthfully, she turned to Sam giving her a small grin. "Come join me, but if you don't want too, I understand." Deena expressed which made Sam thankful for Deena, she climbed onto the top of the car and sat herself next to her girlfriend as it wasn't the easiest to climb onto a car with Ice Cream in her hand. Sam let out a small sigh and continued to eat while she looked up at the sky to see some stars.

"This is nice." Sam randomly said which snapped Deena's attention. She hummed.

"I agree," Deena hummed as she quickly finished her Ice Cream, she waited on Sam and once she was done, she got down and set it in the cup holders; she grabbed a blanket and climbed back up onto the roof of the car and covered Sam as she was still lightly shivering. "I'm sorry, Sam." Deena apologised which made her slightly worried, she turned to Deena. "N-No, you- you didn't do anything, I just- I just feel bad. You're mom--"

"Isn't the nicest," Sam finished for Deena, Deena nodded her head in agreement and her legs were up to her chin, her arms wrapped around her legs. Sam turned to her, "I agree." Sam continued.

"Is there anything... t-that I can do?" Deena asked as she was hopeful that there was something she could do. Sam shook her head, the two turning to each other.

"I wouldn't say so." Sam told her as she placed her cold hand on Deena's cheek, her thumb stroking her cheekbone lightly as she placed a delicate kiss that lasted a few seconds. They pulled away and stared at each other smiling, "I just want to be with you." Sam told Deena in a tone that sounded desperate, "I-Is that okay?" Sam asked softly, Deena nodded her head.

"Sam..." Deena whispered softly against her lips, "I'm always gonna be here." She continued on as they pulled each other into a tight hug. Although Sam was heartbroken about her mother's cruel words, Deena always managed to cheer her up. She was thankful for her and couldn't believe that Deena was hers. All hers and she didn't have to worry about anyone else trying to get in their way. It simply was Deena and Sam, and now it was her turn to try and make it up for Deena. She felt as if she needed to make it up to her.

"Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" Sam questioned quietly, Deena shook her head.

"You've got nothing to make up." Deena assured her placing a kiss on Sam's forehead. She rested her head back on Sam's forehead, the two stared deeply into each other's eyes getting quickly lost in their small bubble. Letting their own thoughts take over and saying something here and there. Both Deena and Sam just calmly sitting on top of Deena's car, barely a word from one-another but then there'd be the odd compliment from one of them that'd always make the other blush.
