Nicholas POV:

As soon as Hunter, Soph and Reid left, I went to the kitchen to start on dinner. Since Nonnas here too, we're doing it much bigger than normal. It'll be all of us, Soph, Sare and Nonna, as well as most of everyone's friends. It's gonna be a big crowd, and thankfully everyone pretty much likes the same kind of foods. I wash and season the meat, and set it back in the fridge to marinate, and get started on the vegetables. Part way through, I hear the front door open and then cold hands wrapping themselves around my torso. Turning off the stove, I turn around and lean against the counter pulling her closer to me. Things get a little steamy, and it's not the vegetables(LMAO sorry I had to I couldn't miss out on that pun). God I missed having her home. Pulling away I sigh, as she runs her finger down my cheek, smiling softly. "As much as I'd like to continue this, we have the whole herd coming for dinner, plus I'm pretty sure we just scarred Hunter, at least I'm hoping it was Hunter and not Reid." I say and she shakes her head laughing. "Tell me what I can get started on." She says putting on an apron and washing her hands.

Together we just about finish everything right before people start arriving. The doorbell rings and I cringe. I swear we told everyone not to ring it today and to just knock, hopefully it didn't wake Reid, although he did sleep through Hunter vacuuming. Soph goes to get the door while I finish stirring some things. "Sophie!!" I hear Eva basically scream. Foot steps follow through to the kitchen and I see Mel, Eva, Tommy, Sebastian and Sophie file in. Noticing that Noah isn't with them, Eva tells me he's still with Hunter, however when I look at her, I see her holding a tiny creepy looking fluff ball. "What the fuck is that?" I say pointing at her. I thought Sebastian said the kitten he was bringing home was cute, not a little demon looking thing. She scoffs and tells me that things name is Daisy. I must be making a face because Sophie and Melissa burst out laughing. "Don't worry Daisy's not ours, this little guy here is ours, Eva just brought Daisy so our kitten would have someone to play with in a new environment." Sebastian says holding up another kitten. "No." Is all I say. "Not in my kitchen, take them literally anywhere but near the food." I tell them seeing the crazy eyes in Daisy. She looks ready to claw into me any second, and I am not about to let that happen, nor am I going to give her the chance to shed fur all over our dinner. "Fine but stop looking at her like she's evil!" Eva says before walking out and talking to the kitten. Turning back to everyone else in the kitchen, I slap Tommy's hand away from the carrots. "Okay! Great seeing you all, please make your way out of my kitchen now thanks." I say knowing that if they stay here any longer someone's going to eat something. Rolling their eyes, Sebastian and Tommy leave, while Mel and Soph stay. Noah comes barreling in, with Hunter hot on his trail. Crashing into my legs he hugs me tightly saying he missed me so much. I pick him up and he babbles on about his sleepover. I'm honestly surprised he lasted through the night, proud, but surprised. I freeze hearing Sophie start sobbing. Ha, that nagging feeling that I had forgot to do something, yeah this is what I forgot to do, tell her about Noah. "N-no c-cry!" Noah says starting to tear up himself. Hunter rubs Sophies back and Melissa holds her hand. "Noah it's okay, look I want you to meet someone.... Soph..." I say slowly as she tries to get a hold of herself. "Noah this is Sophie, my girlfriend." I say to him and he nods, asking why she's crying. "I'm just really happy to see you." She tell him as I hand him to Hunter, going to hug her. Apparently that was definitely not the right thing to do, because Noah glares at Sophie. He wiggles out of Hunters hold and leaves the kitchen, but not before glaring at her one more time. "Oh my god he hates you Soph!" Melissa says falling to the floor laughing. Sophie slaps my arm saying "Nick! I can't believe you just did that! He's never going to talk to me again!" I see Hunter trying to hide his laugh as I explain to Sophie that I didn't mean to do that and that he probably doesn't hate her. There's a knock at the door and before Hunter could go get it, Sophie pulls Melissa up and they march out of the kitchen to get the door. "So much for a smooth meeting right?" Hunter says as I throw a whisk at him. He ducks and laughs, leaving me to process how I'm to blame for this.
