"Adrianna! Can you believe it?! We're going to graduate eleventh grade and finally be seniors!" My best friend, Serena, squealed happily next to me.

"I know! Time flies, I still remember the first day of freshman year," I replied, shuddering at the thought. Serena, on the other hand, looked at me wide-eyed and then burst out laughing.

"I was so immature, oh my god!"

"That you were," I said, laughing along with her.

"But hey, freshman year was damn scary and overwhelming."

"I second that!" And we both burst out laughing. I loved Serena, she was truly the best, everything you could ask for in a best friend. It didn't matter the place or time, she lived. Like right now, we're standing in front of our school, laughing maniacally, and people are throwing weird looks our way. Like hell if Serena cared! We could be at a freaking cemetery and this girl would find some way to make people laugh.

"Adrianna! Serena!" Oh yes, that voice belongs to our third best friend, Adrian.

"Adrian!" We both screamed and he pulled me in for a hug. He is so tall, like he literally towers over my 5'5 frame with his 6'4 frame.

"What's up with you two? Y'all looked like real mental cases," he said playfully.

"All Serena's fault," was what I said the exact same time she said, "All Adrianna's fault." All three of us broke into fits of laughter.

"We were talking about how Serena was a complete idiot in freshman year," I said innocently and smiled cheekily after we calmed down. Serena looked at me through narrowed eyes. Huh, if looks could kill, I'd most definitely be six feet under. But, me being me, I just continued to smile. She can kill me later.

"Adrianna, keep speaking and I will smack you to your death later," she replied innocently. Oh well, I did walk myself into that one.

"You know, if we're being honest, watch me fail life next year as a senior," I said, sighing and rolling my eyes for a dramatic effect. Adrian and Serena on the other hand literally halted me to a stop and shot daggers at me. It's official, I'm officially going to die tonight. Just please, tell my dad I love him.

"How can you think that?!" Serena asked, flabbergasted.

"Because it's true?" I shot back.

"Adrianna, you're the smartest in our year. You can't actually think that." Adrian said, his voice full of disapproval and disappointment.

"Me? Smart? You're funny," I deadpan.

Adrian literally face palmed making me giggle, and muttered, "Adrianna, why in the hell must you be so stupid?"

"That's exactly why I'm going to fail! You said it yourself Adrian! I'm stupid," I said, failing terribly at holding in my laughter. I mean, you did walk yourself into that one, Adrian.

"Screw you!" Adrian yelled, pointing at me. Very mature. I know.

"What... are we?... Five?" I said in between laughter.

After a while, we calmed down and he snaked his arm around my waist. "We could still be the Adri's, you know." And here I go laughing again.

Adrian and I have been friends for as long as I could remember, so it was natural we fell in love with each other. But, our futures led us in different directions and it was just simply different for us. He wanted to go to a university on a track scholarship. I, on the other hand, wanted to go to a university for forensic studies. There are so many people going into the medical field it's utterly unbelievable. Now, we make fun of the whole relationship. He'd literally ask me out just for fun and to put on a show. He's unbelievable, come to think of it.
