(v) tenderly running your fingers through your lover's hair
origin ; brazilian portuguese

The incessant ringing and dinging of my phone was trying my patience and it's lack thereof. Phoenix was sound asleep next to me, his arm wrapped tightly around my waist under the soft duvet. How he was still asleep was beyond me and I was a bit jealous he could sleep through this. Turning my head slightly to peak at the clock on his nightstand, I saw it read 7:39 am. Too fucking early, who in hell needs to talk to me at this time? The brute growled once I tried moving even the slightest and tightened his hold. God help me.

I grunted as I blindly reached for my phone sitting on his nightstand, cursing as it began ringing again.

"Adrianna Vasiliev of Vasiliev and Co. and Bazzi Enterprises, who's this?" I answered rudely. I need tea.

"Aleki Házel, hello Adrianna. How's everything going beautiful?"

"What do you want," I asked blankly. Aleki Házel, the businessman, player, and absolute bastard. Lovely.

He chuckled and I grew irritated; I was more than ready to snap at him, sneer some incoherent, but I faltered feeling Phoenix's hand trail from my lower back over my barely covered ass. My eyes darted over to his within a second and he was already staring at me. I gasped as he pulled me flush against him; we were chest to chest and I didn't miss the feeling of his erection against my lower abdomen. My lips slightly parted and I fought the moan trying to slip past my lips whilst he smirked.

I was reminded of the fact that I had someone on the phone once I heard his voice, "How about a lunch date at Petit Soho along with a proposal I have for you."

"How about a rain check on that date as you know I strictly do not mix my personal and business life together," I sneered and I watched as jealousy flashed in Phoenix's eyes, "and let's get on with the proposal, yeah?"

He chuckled again, - my fucking patience - "37.6 million for the chain of hotels in St. Petersburg's quarter."

"I want commission," I replied in a heartbeat.

"D-did you-"

"2.176% commission, Házel. I'll keep more than half the share," I cut him off, rolling my eyes.

"O-Okay," he said unsurely.

"I will write the check, you'll have twenty seven days to clear it, or the money will be voided and come back to my company."

"Alright, so we have a deal?"

"No, no," I chuckled, "We'll have a deal once we meet in St. Petersburg and you show me around the quarter. I'll have my PA Kendall set something up."

"Okay then, Ms. Vasiliev."

"Have a lovely day," I replied dryly and hung up.

"Who was that," Phoenix glared at the phone in my hand.

"Aleki Házel," I muttered, lazily throwing it on the nightstand.

"That bastard," he laughed maliciously, "Really asking my girl out," he glowered. I wasn't sure how a normal girl would've reacted, but I felt a sudden blush on my cheeks along with feeling turned on.
