"Adrianna, let's do something today!" Dad smiled over the eggs and toast we were eating.

"Sure," I smile back, slightly looking up from my plate of food.

"Alright, how about after we eat, we go to the South Beach Strip?"

"Perfect," I said happily, the excitement already coursing through my veins. It's been forever since I've hung out with my dad.

Once I was done, I put my dad and I's plate in the dishwasher and ran upstairs to change into something comfortable. I grabbed my phone from the charger, pulled on my beanie and grabbed my pennyboard.

We're in the car, dad's driving, and I'm playing the music.

"Are you trying to put me to sleep," he asked in a bored tone when Morning Mood by Grieg started. I rolled my eyes knowing this is one of his favorite pieces in classical music. Just wait for it. 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

"Oh! Wait! I love this piece," he exclaimed like a little child. I swear.

"Yeah okay," I scoff, but couldn't help the smile making it's way on my face. We were bumper to bumper with all the other cars since there was mad traffic. Shaking my head. But at least we had music right? The next song to play was Still by G-Eazy. And let's just say my dad and I are big G-Eazy enthusiasts.

"I took some time off, it's time I start rappin' again
Don't wanna end up a "Damn what happened to him?"
See my anxiety is kickin' in, I'm askin' a friend
"Am I losin' it?" He said, "No and don't ask me again."

Dad and I were literally yelling out the lyrics. We were driving in his convertible, with the hood down and we got way too many stares from people we passed. Whoops.

"But it really ain't about survivin', fuck that, I'm tryna thrive.

"Then he said, "If you're not living on the edge, you're taking too much space"
Thought about it, what you wish for isn't all that it seems
What if I just said, fuck it, never followed my dreams?
Never made me into a role model for all of these teens.
