"Hey, uh, Izzy!" I call out as I run towards her, managing to catch the elevator door before it closed and stepping inside, "I wanted to talk to you."

"What about?" she asks, crossing her arms

"About the addiction thing" I sigh, "I'm so sorry, I should have told Alec or someone else sooner but I wanted to be sure you were doing what you were doing and then so much was happening at the same time and-"

"Cami, stop, I don't blame you" Izzy interrupts, "I've never blamed you. You did everything you could and, look, I'm here, I'm standing, I'm fine."

"I know but I should've-"

"Should've nothing. I'm sorry, too" Izzy apologises, "I shouldn't have thrown my addiction in your face like that, it really wasn't anyone's fault."

"Mmm, maybe Aldertree's" I supply

"Yeah, okay, maybe Aldertree" Izzy agrees, laughing with me

"Hug?"

"Hug"

The doors open mid-hug to reveal Alec standing there, waiting for us I presume.

"Ah, finally, you guys made up?"

"Never better" I nod, releasing Izzy in favour of a side hug and quick kiss from Alec before lacing my hand in his

"About time" Alec grins

"You guys are so adorable" Izzy swoons

"Oh, hey, I heard from Mom" Alec announces, "Max is on his way."

"Feels like just yesterday we were taking knives away from him" Izzy chuckles

"He's lucky to have you as a tutor" I encourage before whirling on Alec, "However it would be nice to have a heads up when one of the family is coming to town."

"Sorry" Alec grimaces

"Alec, maybe it's a mistake putting me in charge of him" Izzy frowns

"Are you kidding?" Alec huffs, "Izzy, you're the smartest one here and one of our toughest fighters"

"Smartest?" Izzy scoffs, "How can you say that when your girlfriend is the literal walking Shadowhunters Codex?"

"That may be true but your brother doesn't hate you, therefore you will have an easier time getting him to learn." I interject

"He doesn't hate you!" Alec rejects but redirects when I raise a questioning eyebrow at him, "Okay, maybe he's not that fond of you-"

"'Not that fond?'" I gape, "The last time he saw me he yelled 'Go away from me!'"

"Feelings change" Alec says

"It's just...I don't totally feel like myself yet" Izzy admits

"What about those mundane meetings you mentioned?"

"They're helping, even though they think I'm talking about heroin."

"Shadowhunter down!" Jace's voice announces, ringing through the room

"Milo Keytower" Clary supplements, coming down the stairs beside Jace

"What happened?"

"From what I understand, his runes were carved out" Inquisitor Herondale supplies, following close behind Clary, "Is that true, Jace?"

"Yes, after he was attacked by a wolf" Jace confirms

"He had multiple bite and claw marks" Clary continues
