I leaned down and forced my eyes to stay active. I switched to a short sword and charged him.

I was at him almost immediately again.

I didn't waste any time and quickly slashed at him, again and again. I could tell he was having a hard time dodging me now. There was an agitation in his eyes, and I couldn't help but smile. I was really happy to see him look bothered.

"Even your stamina is regenerating at an alarming rate.." Rex grumbled as his eyes roamed over me.

His eyes were a misty purple shade, it was like he was trying to read me.

I didn't have the luxury of trying to analyze him. Focusing to keep my weapons manifested, my eyes activated and the amount of concentration to strengthen muscles to increase my mobility. I had my hands full, so I just kept slashing away at him. Moving around, trying to catch him off guard.

"You damn flashlight! I'll kill you!" I heard Zack roar in the distance.

I saw Rex's eyes look back with a bit of astonishment. A huge green light plastered the sky behind him.

That was my chance. I came in low for a stab at his side. I could hear Zacks yelling getting closer and closer.

He was coming in from one side, and I from the other. He couldn't dodge us both.

As I came in for my strike, all I could see was a quick flicker. My eyes widened as I saw his palm, a huge white blast came out and blasted me hard in my chest. It was so fast! The next thing I know I was slammed and drugged into the dirt. I couldn't even focus on summoning armor around me. Sand got in places sand shouldn't be...

The blast eventually stopped and I stopped right on my back.

That's when I heard a girl screaming....

"Ah son of a-!" And that girl's voice was Zack.

Then he dropped on top of me

"Ah- what the heck!" I groaned as I shoved him off.

I felt like I was gonna vomit.

"This guys nuts" I grunted out as I slowly sat up.

I could already feel the healing process taking effect on my body, but that sure didn't stop the searing pain!

"You're telling me, I didn't know snow white was packing heat..." Zack groaned as he sat up.

"Zack, we're being healed. So we don't have to worry about a thing." I slowly pushed myself up. "We just need to hold'em off till Icarus comes back. He seems like the analytical type. If we charge in and attack him in every way we can. We may find a weakness, or help Icarus find one."

"So put everything in old bird poop huh? Not like we're freaking getting anywhere. Besides that, he's really pissing me off." Zack grumbled.

"I'm not gonna lie, he's really pissing me off too," I growled.

"Then forget Icarus, let's just take this flashlight out!" Zack cheered as I activated my strength again."Trust me, I'll get you to him. Since focusing takes so much out of you, just put your all into one punch. I'll make sure it happens." He said with a smirk.

"I trust you" I replied as I focused on my muscles and ran at Rex again.

I had gotten the hang of it now, fighting under pressure like this. It made it a lot easier to adapt to doing this.

I saw Rex turn toward me with an astonished look, guess he didn't expect us up so fast. He held up his hand at me with clear agitation in his eyes. I trusted Zack, I wouldn't move, I wouldn't slow down. A huge blast came out of his hand, and I charged in head first at it.

Then, the beam stopped. It stopped halfway to me and began to slowly fade. There was an odd sparkling green dust left behind in the blasts. The beam began to fade along with it and in the green mist. Was the face of Bean!

I completely forgot he even existed!

I saw Rex's eyes widen as I leaned back, I couldn't help but smile. We got 'em! I leaned back and rammed my fist as hard as my body allowed me to into his face. I felt my wrist, and my arm crack as I shot him into the sky. I summoned a chain on him as soon as I made contact. With my fractured arm, I swung him around in the sky building momentum to slam him down!

Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw a green light flash in the sky. It was zack! Rocketing himself right at Rex, using the fire from his palms as he blasted his way toward us.

I changed my course and swung him at Zack.

"Batter up snow white!" Zack cheered.

He rammed his fist into Rex, and a small green spark came from them. Then a huge green blast exploded from Zack's hand! The blast was ginormous! Bigger than anything I've seen him do before! He practically painted the sky with green smoke!

Rex shot down like a smacked pinball, crashing into the dry desert dirt like a meteor. Green flares following Rex all the way down.

The green embers still crackling off him, just like a fallen star.

I guess the boost applied to Bean too. Probably amped his invisibility powers. Would explain why Zack was found out and he wasn't...

Zack crashed landed behind me, he was trying to use his fire to help his landing. But he just crashed down and stumbled up, laughing like a maniac.

"Summon a sword! I'll amp you up. Go in for the final blow!" Zack cheered as I did exactly as he asked.

I summoned a blade in my good hand, and leaned forward, activating my strength to boost my speed. Zack waved his hand around as the fire from around the area funneled up from the ground, and down from the sky. My sword glew as the blade became engulfed in his bright flames.

"Ha, wait for Icarus my butt. Let's kill em!." Zack said softly as I ran forward.

Rex slowly rose from the ground, staggering to his feet. He raised his hand to the sky, with an odd genuine smile on his face.

"I underestimated you two." He coughed out.

He stood up straight and looked over at me, his hand raised to the sky. Then he flung his arm down to the ground.

That's when it hit me, the ground. There was a huge shadow on the ground. It surrounded...everything.

I looked up to the sky, and I skidded to a stop. It was white. The entire sky was pure white. I was at a loss for words. I stopped running, and stared into the bright abyss. That's when I stammered it out.

"Is that...the sun?"
