Stuffing my phone into my pocket and throwing on my jacket, I headed out.
"Hey!" I waved to Leah.
"Diana! Come sit."
"So.. what's up?"

"Just Kristen being a jerk?"
"Yeah, the usual."

"Well.."
"Oh! And I heard from my mum that we were going to go on a camping trip, you know, that's why Coach Baloney is suddenly teaching wilderness skills. (I'll write that part in just a bit)"
"Oh. That makes sense. But there's spiders and mosquitoes and snakes in the wilderness!"
"Don't be a baby. You've been camping before." snorted Leah.
"It was bloody terrifying!"
"That's because my story creeped you out too much, so you ran."

"I was too! And I was scared out of my pants!"
Leah rolled her eyes, and I crossed my arms.
"Anyway.. Are you hungry?"
"Don't try to change the subject. But yes, I am."
"Then stop talking about it."

"Ah, yes, I take pride in being so boring."
"You're acting like Carina now."
"NO, you are! You're supposed to be the boring one."
"Rude!"
"Ok who are you and what have you done with Leah?"

"Well, I better not be buying cupcakes for a stranger."
"We're getting CUPCAKES? And you're paying?"
"Not anymore." I grumbled.
"Aww.. please??"
"Fine."

"Do you want them or not?"
"Yes!"
"Then shut up."
"Rude."
"I'm not repeating what I said earlier."
"Fine with me."
"I'm leaving."
"No! You need to buy me cupcakes, remember?"
I groaned.

And we ended up at the bakery.
"Can I buy all of them?"
"I'm already broke."

"Leah!" I gritted my teeth.
"She's paying."
"LEAH!!!"
"Hm?" she asked, putting on an innocent look.
"You're lucky I don't have my foil."
"Oh yes, so lucky. What's a foil again?"
"I'm not bothering to tell you again."
"Rude."
"3rd time."
"You're keeping count?"
"Deal with it."
"Someone's in a bad mood!"
"Ugh."
"Hello?"
"You're annoying."
"Why, thank you!"
"That wasn't a compliment."
"Gee, I didn't notice!"
"Augh!"
"Rude."

"Rude."

"I'm not going to keep count anymore, this is getting boring."

We laughed and talked together.
