"Hey, you guys doing anything for Christmas?" asked Leah over a facetime call.
"Yeah, I'm going skiing-"
"Ooh, can I come?" Carina interrupted.
"-with Nott and Kristen."
"What? Did I hear you just say-"
"Yup." I replied, sounding grim.
"You still want to come, though?"
"Uh.."
"Please??"
"I'll think about it.." she replied.
"PLEASE?" I begged.
"Fine."
"Uhhh, did you guys completely forget I existed or something?" asked Leah skeptically.
"Um.. maybe?" Carina said.
"I'm shaking my head, if you can't tell." she replied.
"Sounds like something you would do." I nodded.
"Anyways, I'll tell my parents. Just wait a second.." Carina exclaimed.
"Still waiting.." I started saying.
"Geez. So impatient.."
"STILL waiting.."
"Excuse me."
5 minutes later...
"STILL WAITING..."
"Alright, alright, I'm back!" Carina said quickly.
"Did you tell them?"
"Yeah, it's just that they wanted to come too-"
"Seriously?"
"Do I look like I'm lying?"
"I don't know, I'm in a call with you-" I questioned.
"And completely forgot about me again." Leah grumbled.
"Oops.." I mumbled weakly.
"So.. what are you doing over Christmas?" I asked Leah.
"We're going to America!" she yelled.
"Ooh! America? Which state?"
"California. I heard it doesn't snow there. Like, at all. Just a few degrees temperature drop or else it's the same as normal."
"Interesting.."
"And we're visiting Sacramento, plus the Golden Gate Bridge if we can, Devils Postpile, and we're going to see some sequoia trees!"
Random fun fact: The Golden Gate Bridge was officially opened one day after my birthday :> except the year part
"I wish I could go to America.." Carina thought.
"I know! Aren't I the luckiest person in the world?" joked Leah.
"*Pouts"
"We all heard that." I said.
"You weren't supposed to!" protested Carina.
"Okay..?" I asked.
"I would talk for more, but history class is in one minute!" said Leah frantically, hanging up.
"By-" I started.
"E." Carina finished,
"Um, I gotta go too. Talk to you later?"
"Yup!"
"Bye!"
"Bye!"
