Negativity surrounds my thoughts,
Triggering my self-doubts;
Becoming a popular poet is my passion,
For I seek everyone's appreciation;
A difficult process,
Success is like winning the lottery!
Through the hard work I invest,
I'd love to publish a collection,
A book that sells out on the first day!
I have a plethora of poems,
The very best I intend to choose,
But I fear my talent will go unnoticed,
For even now with free viewership,
I suffer a popularity drought;
I think about giving up often,
For I have days I put the pen in the shelf,
Only to be reminded that's never an option,
That my talent comes from within,
Not from people's validation,
So I resume my journey
Because writing defines me!
