Dealing With School

To go to school or not to go to school?
That is the question.
Whether I should go to school
And receive my daily education
Or skip school
And have fun like there's no tomorrow.
Doing away with what I desire
Will satisfy my good ol' soul.
I could do anything my little heart desires.
But wait, there's a price to pay.
Though it'd be my choice,
My parents won't approve.
Cutting school results in severe consequences,
Such consequences that will destroy my future!
To exceed 14 days of absence
Means losing credit in all of my classes.
What about my plans after high school?
I can't go to college,
And no way could I land my dream job.
There's too little jobs that don't need degrees.
Jobs that don't require them are terrible.
Payment is as low as it is back-breaking.
O, my parents will kill me for this.
'Tis no wonder we go to school,
Against our heart's desire.
Is there a middle ground to this?
Education is the key to success,
And fun is the key to relaxation.
Is it worth sacrificing school to do what I want?
If only, I could escape horrible consequences.
We have freedom of choice,
But not freedom of consequence.
Would I be happy in the long-run?
O, long-term happiness
Beats short-term happiness.
Is it not possible to do both:
Go to school and have fun?
