Opposites Attract

They call it the law
Of every good girl and bad boy
As if it's the laws of physics
When it's simply a social construct.

Every girl is attracted to boys,

Out their empathetic nature

For the feelings are mutual

Bad boys love good girls,
For they seek to balance
Out their ruthlessness
With a warm, sensitive outlook.

Such opposites attract,
They converge so well
Until they reach
Equilibrium.

If that is the case,
Why are their news reports
About abusive relationships
All because their views oppose each other?

Humans aren't magnets,
For boys and girls
Won't repel each other due to alikeness,
But be repelled due to differences.

They may harbor feelings
For each other from the start,
But they'll end up hating each other,
The chances of equilibrium near to none.

Where does that leave us?
