Chapter 64: "They Wanted Each Other"

Taking a taxi back to Frediano's house, Emerald took a look outside of the window as she thought to herself, she had genuine real feelings for Frediano but Giovanni had been in the back of her mind there was just something there you know she couldn't explain maybe she was just lying to herself but confiding in Monica was good enough.

Right?

Finally arriving at his house Emerald was nervous she knew she was wrong but didn't know how to express her feelings correctly.

As Frediano opened the door he felt the same way he didn't know how to feel he knew for sure he had feelings for her but too many things kept getting in the way of them or being together.

Emerald smiled as she said "I'm surprised one of the maids didn't get the door." desperately trying to break the ice between them

"No actually I was waiting for you."  Frediano said

"Wait you knew I was coming."  she said back

"Yeah Monica called me and told me to wait for your arrival."

"Please stop talking to my cousin. She had no business calling you."
Emerald said walking towards his living room

Frediano closing the door then walking behind her said  "Don't be mad at her she means well."
Monica really did mean well he thought to himself she just had a bad way of showing it.

"Okay well what else did she say."  sitting down on his couch looking at him

Frediano wanted to tell  her exactly what she said but he didn't want any more problems or people in between their relationship. He needed it to be just the two of them.

"Nothing else." he said sitting beside her I want to talk about you and me 

"Okay..." Emerald said nervously

"I want you"

"I want you too." she said back

"You think we can make this work."

"Yes."

"Then I want to make this work, us work
But before we do I have to ask a question."

"No." She said

"No? What" Frediano asked

"I don't have feelings for him never really did."

"Okay."
Frediano paused not really knowing what to say next I mean did he really believe her

Looking in his eyes emerald was sincere
All that doubt went away

"Now can I ask you a question?" Emerald asking then holding his hand

Nodding his head

"Do you have feelings for her... Adriana I know a lot has happened between you too there's history there and a baby involved..."
Emerald said trying to continue

Huffing out loud Frediano wanted to find the right words to say to her reassure her

"She will always be in my life because we have a son together but that's it. She betrayed me in the worst way possible. What she did to me will always be there just like our son. I will raise him with her but only co-parenting but that's all nothing more I promise you that."

Still continuing on

"Our relationship is still new. You won't be introduced to him anytime soon but you are also important in my life."

Now did Frediano mean it by coparenting it a little but he despised Adriana she couldn't have thought she was going to get away with knocking him unconscious he thought to himself but quickly resorted his attention back to Emerald as she began to speak

"I don't think you know this but I love children and whenever the timing is right I can't wait to meet him. I bet he looks just like you."

"He does, and I love him so much." Frediano said with a smile
"Emerald what I want you to know is I truly want to make our relationship work but I can you do something for me."

"Sure what is it."

"Stay away from Giovanni he means no good but only to hurt and make me jealous he's hoping for a part two."
Frediano said and he meant every word his mind would mind would be completely shattered if Emerald did something to hurt him

"That will never ever happen ever." Emerald said intently

She knew better she actually had morals.
Never meeting Adriana she thought about her quickly how dare she I mean seriously how vile and cruel she was they were. Emerald was sure there was more to the story but she didn't care Frediano was hers

"After what she did I thought I could never care for someone else but the way I feel for you is different, better. I want you to be my girlfriend."

Still holding hands Emerald could feel his words coming out of his mouth she knew what exactly what she needed to say next

"First off I will stay away from Giovanni. I will respect our relationship to do that for us."

Squeezing his hand a little

"I want to be your girlfriend. I truly want this relationship."

Grabbing his face and kissing him passionately.

She wanted him

He wanted her

And now they were officially in a relationship

They were in bliss just like they both wanted

Till there were bullets flying through the front door....
