Chapter 60: "Way Too Easy To Break"

Emerald POV

"Giovanni" I said with some sort of an emptiness tone

"Do act so surprised to see me Emerald though I'm surprised you're here, this early in the morning." Giovanni said smiling

Still behind me Frediano says "Why the hell are you at my doorstep?"

Rolling my eyes I say "Now I'm leaving, so bye."

Noticing my voice sounding a little weary I still try to walk pass him but Giovanni is not budging

"Move Giovanni I need to leave." I say with my voice breaking trying not to cry

Looking at me in my eyes he touches my left hand with his and asks what's wrong

"Don't fucking touch her" Frediano says threatening Giovanni

"I just want to go back to the hotel." I say moving my hand away from his

After saying that I hear a car honking looking passed Giovanni who's still at the front door I see the taxi I called waiting for me

"Excuse me" still trying to move away from both Frediano and Giovanni I'm suffocating

"Emerald, please" Frediano said practically begging for me to stay

"I'm moving out of the penthouse today and finding somewhere else to stay, now please move Giovanni."

Still in my way Giovanni asks me "Did he hurt you?"

Now with tears coming down my eyes I stutter "I just want to leave"

"Fine I'll take you back to the hotel then"
Giovanni" says sweetly.

"No I said wiping the tears from my eyes and don't you see the taxi outside waiting for me."

"And I don't care." Giovanni said quickly

"You are not taking her anywhere." Frediano said with a deadly tone in his voice

Turning back and looking at Frediano's face I knew he was serious but he had no right to be mad after what he just did but I didn't want to argue I just wanted to go back to the hotel cry my eyes out
and suddenly dreaded the conversation I was going to have with Monica about this, and hearing her tell me I told you so

Now Looking back at Giovanni he said "listen I will take you back to the hotel you don't have to say a word while in the car, I just need to know if you're ok."

The way looked at me with such sincerity, it was the first time I actually believed what he was saying, I trusted him.

"Fine let's go" I said

"Emerald are you fucking kidding me right now?"

"No I'm not Frediano I need to get away from you."

Walking up towards me Frediano is still trying to fight with me stay but before he could close Giovanni finally moves from the front door and jumps in front of Frediano's face and says "You heard what she just said right she wants to get the fuck away from you and you need to respect that.

Now face to face I knew what was going to happen now knowing that the front door wasn't blocked anymore and still see the taxi driver didn't leave yet I immediately turn around and run down the long driveway and jump into the taxi yelling at the man in Italian to drive as fast as he could. Pressing the gas he drives leaving me to have a sigh of relief.

Third POV

As Frediano watched Emerald practically sprint towards the taxi damn she could run fast he thought or just twice as desperate to get away from him Frediano thought

Still in my face he pushes Giovanni out of his way as they both watch the taxi speed away

"You really fucked up this time Frediano what did you do?"

"None of your damn business, get out of my house."

"Emerald would not be this upset, you cheated on her didn't you? Wait with Adriana?" Laughing in the process "I just knew you wanted her even after what we did. You're just as nasty as me and Joe." Giovanni said gloating in process like he had won something

"You need to get the fuck out of my house Giovanni." Frediano spoke getting angrier by the minute

Still wanting to taunt him Giovanni had to get serious for a moment

"Oh I'll leave but before I go your mother and my father will get married very soon and I will not have any disruption till now and the day of the wedding. I fucking hate it as much as you do but I'm fair warning you now Frediano do not fuck with my father or I swear you'll be buried right next to yours."

"Did you know?" Frediano asked something he had know was just burdensome to him

"Did I know what Frediano?

"That she was already pregnant when you and your father fucked her?"

Looking back at Frediano, Giovanni thought about that night it was sort of a blur, him and his father went over to her house to speak with her about her father he owed them money and they both came to collect but while they were there Adriana was already drugs and even offered both him and Joe some cocaine which they both did some lines of and have a few drinks but neither of them brought up the her father she practically knew what she was doing she initiated everything first by taking her clothes off and guiding only him to the bedroom upstairs and left Joe sitting in the living room drinking by himself

Then he will never forget what happened next, having sex with Adriana in the bed then his father just stood there watched for a while til he also wanted to join in then which left Giovanni feeling weird but uncontrollable and for a while felt good but in the mist of all that Frediano showed up with a pain stricken expression on his face like he wanted to kill of them and for a moment he almost did pulling his gun out and pointing it towards the three of them but of course Joe had a way with words and he and Giovanni just walked out of the situation unscathed. Joe afterwards just laughed and laughed he told me to never trust a whore like that because she was way too easy to break....

"No but I guess all four of us were in that bed that day."

Stunned by his answer Frediano looked at Giovanni in disbelief like how dare he say that and just watched Giovanni as he walked out of his house.

Finally ending the conversation before walking out of his house Giovanni was trying not to make a dramatic exit but fuck it he thought to himself Giovanni was fucking over his soon to be stepmother Elena crying over her worthless son He wanted Frediano died period but his father was adamant if that was going to happen Elena was not going to think it was them, but over some rival territory with the Russians or something.

Giovanni then thought about Emerald as questioned himself on how he can make her his not as a possession but someone she can truly fall for but meeting a person like Frediano first wasn't going to help him. Giovanni was not jealous of Frediano or anything he had but was just annoyed that he had Emerald first he likes Emerald plain and simple he also just enjoyed loved antagonizing Frediano in the process. Knowing having Emerald would be challenging he didn't mind waiting for but just watching Frediano screw that relationship up all by himself was great already fantastic but right now he had to meet Emerald back at her hotel maybe he can have a simple conversation with her.
