"Hi Giovanni come in."

Surprised, Emerald couldn't understand why he was here and how did he know where she was and what did he want?

Handing her the flowers Giovanni slowly walked into her hotel room eyeing the decor he thought to himself ,Frediano kept this hotel nice and comfortable for his guests but he had other things on his mind.

Starting the conversation as Emerald closes the door then puts the bouquet flowers on her dresser.

"Well it's been over a month and a half since we've last spoken I almost thought you'd forgot about me. Plus how did you know where I stayed?"

"Well Frediano told me where you lived so ...

Lying through his teeth Giovanni actually had one of his men look into Emerald who she was and how she came here and after learning more about her he was intrigued .

...I can give you a formal apology for everything that's happened."

"Well I appreciate it but the flowers weren't necessary, Frediano been actually taking real good care of me."

"My step brother always took care of his ladies, family and his business."

With his strong Italian accent Emerald wanted to make sure what she heard was right are they really step brothers.

"So wait are you two step brothers for real?"

"Truth be told soon to be stepbrothers his mother and my father."

Giovanni already knew of his father's plan to marry Elena he thought it was too fast but his opinion didn't matter Joe really loved her hopefully that his for her won't cost them everything.

Emerald was truly surprised but didn't want to show it, she's only been on a couple of dates but why didn't he tell her about his step brother.

Remembering the night she had gotten hurt Emerald saw a them having a tense conversation but didn't hear what they were saying.

"Are you two close?" Emerald asked

"Not exactly a lot of things happened that can never be repaired but I begged him to tell me where you since you know... Giovanni said pausing after

"Like what between you two can't be repaired." Emerald asked extremely interested to what he had to say

Both of them still standing Giovanni asks if he can sit down on a chair near her bed Emerald nods her head sitting in her bed directly looking at him.

"Our fathers used to work in business together until his father Dominic died and everything went downhill from there Frediano thinks my father and I are going to take his business from him so he has been very drastic lately."

Drastic? What do you mean?

"He has been threatening my father and I wanting to kill us both gunshots to the head let me not mention Adriana."

"Who?" Frediano never mentioned any other female in his life but his mother and sister she thought, a little worried to hear what he had to said next

"Adriana was a gorgeous woman who was Frediano's girlfriend the love of his life actually until one day Adriana found him in bed with some other female she lashed out on him and when he got tired of her yelling and screaming Frediano beat her to a pulp left her bloody and bruised and told her if she saw him again he'll kill her." Signing Giovanni continued "So she came to me and my father scared for her life begging for us to hide her somewhere.
So we did and we never heard from her since."

Staring at Giovanni blankly Emerald had a difficult time ingesting what he had just told her.Was Frediano really that volatile threatening and beating up women.

Shifting the conversation Emerald had to say something irritated by this sudden information
"Is there anything else you would like to discuss Giovanni, none of this really makes sense and doesn't sound like him."

Giovanni nodding his head said "You know the night we met and when Frediano pulled me aside to talk he started the brawl throwing punches until he saw you and smashed the glass onto you head telling me I could have you but I decided to leave, afraid if I get he will kill me if I touched you."

In disbelief of this bombshell she questioned Giovanni
"Ok so tell me why would he take care of me, let me live in his house and took me on dates?"

Looking at her with sorrow and pity he simply answered
"Emerald he felt sorry for and your predicament and thought maybe you wouldn't snitch to the cops if he showed the good life."

Getting up and heading for the door then Emerald standing up to face Giovanni he said
"I'm sorry to put this all on you Emerald but you needed to know then kissed her on the cheek a card is in the bouquet my number is in there call me anytime,Bye Emerald." Giovanni said as he opened her door then walked out.

Shutting the door behind her Emerald couldn't help but cry a guy she was genuinely invested in was women beater mad man. What the hell?

Walking down the hall Giovanni couldn't help but laugh Emerald was a gorgeous woman but she can't be that dumb believing everything he said and then some
Maybe Emerald will cum for him the same way Adriana did.

All of a sudden his Samsung galaxy phone starts ringing

"What!" He said

"Don't fucking talking to me like that. where are you?" His father Joe demanded

"Just finishing up some long term investments." Giovanni said pleased

"Good, we need to speak about Frediano and the habit of upsetting his mother Elena. Met me at my house."

After hanging up

Giovanni got in his car driving off.
