Chapter 45: "Towel/Gives More Than She Gets"

Third POV
Continued...

"That was it Frediano had enough..... "

He finally punched Giovanni in face then falling to the ground Frediano got on top of him and Frediano kept punching and punching blood was flying out of his mouth

"Son of a bitch!!!" Frediano said punch after punch his knuckles getting bloody

"Boss Boss!!" Dario  yells to Frediano who comes running outside knowing this situation has gotten bad to worse pulling Frediano off of Giovanni.

"You won't have her do you hear me!" Frediano yells at Giovanni who slowly get off the ground

Spitting out the blood from his mouth to Frediano's feet Giovanni says "She's fair game Frediano and oh you are going to regret this then pointing to his face." As he slowly walks away

"Get off of me Dario!"  Frediano yells still hold him back.

"Sorry boss, is this about Adriana again is she back in town?" Dario asks after hearing what the two men just said

No. Frediano said still breathing heavy, now get back to work ending the conversation between them

Not daring to continue Dario goes back to the warehouse.

By himself Frediano can't think straight too many things are going through his mind Emerald, Giovanni, Joe and his bullshit engagement to his mother and Adriana, now questioning why the hell he was thinking about she ruined their relationship by doing the unthinkable she left and she wasn't coming back and that's all that mattered.

What mattered now was seeing Emerald he needed to see her knowing what Giovanni did bugging her old room he was now cautious. Still remembering that Emerald wanted a couple of days with her cousin Monica and he wanted to respect that but now he just needed to see her face.

Taking his phone out of pocket he called the chauffeur Vincent that was driving Emerald and Monica around Florence.

"Mr. Benza how are you today?" Vincent says on the phone

"Fine Vincent can you tell me where Emerald is right now?" Frediano asked paying Vincent good money drive them around everywhere

"I dropped them off at the hotel they went to the museum this morning."

"Ok thanks Vincent."

"You're welcome sir."

Ending the conversation Frediano walked back to his car and drove off.

Knocking on the door of the penthouse suite, Frediano had cleaned himself up in the car bandaging up his sore knuckles and tidying up suite he had to at least look presentable.

"Who is it?"

Knowing off instinct that wasn't Emerald it had to Monica, Frediano was hesitant to answer

"Frediano" he finally said

Opening the door in just a towel it's Monica with a smile on her face.

"Ohh it excuse me you must me Frediano I would shake your hand but you know addressing that has both hands on the towel."

Shocked to even see her in a towel Frediano was starting to regret even knocking, looking at Monica first she was pretty having her hair up in a bun her skin just as beautiful as Emerald's but then again where was Emerald at anyway

"Uhh Hi and you must be Monica it's very nice to meet you,where is Emerald?" Frediano asked immediately

"After a long morning at the museum, we were both starving and she walked to the restaurant down the street. She said the lasagna was delicious." Monica said

"Ok thank very much sorry for the inconvenience." Frediano said walking away knowing the awkwardness at hand

"No no don't leave I'm going to change real fast and be back out Emerald will be back any minute,I swear."

Wanting to leave Frediano didn't want to make a bad first impression on Monica but already knew this was an uncomfortable situation to be in

"Sure." He said walking into the suite

"Good." Monica said letting the door shut behind him than racing towards her bedroom to get dressed

Walking into the living room then sitting down on the sofa Frediano just felt wired and somewhat uncomfortable but still continued stitting down.

Three minutes later Monica walks out her room in a dark pink sundress and white flip flops, she then walked into the living room where Frediano was sitting and sat down on a chair across from him.

"Well Frediano I have heard so much about you, to be honest I thought I was never going to meet Emerald was so reluctant from me meeting you."
Monica said nicely with a hint of sarcasm in the beginning.

"It is very nice meeting you also Monica,Emerald has told me so much about you. Frediano said with a smile

"Like what?"  Monica asked curiously

"Like how you two are practically sisters and she missed you so much and couldn't wait for you to come and actually you are right she was nervous for me meeting you, she wanted her attention on you for the first couple days. Frediano said

"That's Emerald for you, always wanting to give more than she gets."

Frediano wondered what that meant as he thought to himself

"Frediano Can I ask you a question, if you don't mind me asking?" Monica said

Frediano had hoped Emerald didn't tell her about what other business he was in as he thought to himself

"No Of course ask away." he said sweetly

Now looking at at Frediano with disgust Monica finally asked

"What the fuck are you doing with my cousin?
