Trouble For Me

Birthday celebrations

Brian opened the door and Roger walked in

"Hello everyone" he smiled and he saw me sitting on the couch "Diane darling happy birthday" he walked to me, hugged me and kissed me on the cheek

"I'm glad you could make it Roger and thank you" I smiled

He pulled me to the kitchen "Listen I didn't want to say this in front of everyone but I didn't get you a present..Brian called me at the last minute and every shop was closed but I'll get you one tomorrow" he looked down

"Roger I didn't want a present, you're here now and that's what I wanted" I smiled and hugged him

We walked back to the living room.

"Is everything okay?" Brian asked

"Yes everything is okay. Brian didn't you call the guys in the morning?" I asked him

"Yeah I did" he said

"All of them? You called Freddie,John and Roger at the same time?" I asked again

He started looking around nervously "Yes.. i did"

I knew he was lying "Brian?" I said

"Okay I forgot to tell Roger but I called him 2 hours ago. I'm sorry" he said "It's not like I did it on purpose" he said

"That's okay, all the people I love are here and that's what matters" I decided to let it go.

Part of me believed that he actually forgot, it's a common mistake. But another part of me just didn't want to believe him.

"It's the time for the birthday cake" Kendall cheered as she brought it in the living room

"Where did you buy this cake from?" John asked

"Me and Diane made it, why?" Kendall said to John

"Really. I thought you bought it. It doesn't look homemade" John said jokingly

"Yes it doesn't since that's what we actually study for in college. It would suck if it looked homemade" Kendall giggled

"You're funny" John laughed softly

"Well looks like John has a crush on Kendall" I heard Roger saying to Brian

"I wasn't sure about it until I saw him trying to be flirty" Brian said to Roger jokingly

"Yeah he's not really good at it isn't he?" Roger giggled

They both started laughing, it was actually nice seeing them getting along.

Everybody started singing the classic birthday song. I leaned in and blew the candles, next thing I knew Freddie pushed my face into the cake. I looked at Freddie with a face full of cake, he was laughing.

"Well nobody's gonna eat that now so I may as well just do this" I got a handful full of cake and shove it on Freddie's face. "Here now we totally match" I laughed

Everyone else was laughing. "You both look like you just escaped a marshmallow factory explosion" Roger laughed hysterically

"Really Roger?" I asked him

He nodded positively while laughing

I got another handful of cake and stood up

"What are you doing?" Roger asked

I said nothing and he started walking backwards "Don't you dare!" He started running around the house and I run after him

"He's a fast runner she's never going to get him" Brian said and silence filled the house for a while
