Why Should I Be Sad?

*1 week later*

"Are you going to be okay by yourself for a while?" Brian asked

"Yes I'll be fine.." I said "Can you buy some diapers on your way back here?" I asked

"Of course, call me if you need anything" he kissed me and kissed the girls on their cheeks and left

Ever since I had my babies, Brian is always out and I can't blame him..I knew what I signed up for when I decided to keep the babies. He's working to support us and I should just accept the fact that he won't be home at all times.

I put the babies to sleep and I sat on the bed. Thank god they don't wake up easily.

I walked to the kitchen and I grabbed my cigarettes from the cupboard..I didn't want Brian to know that I started smoking again so I always smoke twice a week when he's out..

*Brian's POV*

"Good morning everyone!" I said as I walked in the recording studio

"Good morning Brian! How's the family?" John asked

"Good" I smiled "I'm so happy I get to wake up next to the woman I love and our kids" my smile got brighter

Veronica walked in the studio "Hi guys" she waved at us and she run to John "you forgot your glasses at home"

"Oh right.. thank you love" John smiled and hugged her

"So Brian! How's Diane and the babies?" She asked

"Everyone is okay and Diane is so happy" I smiled

"That's good..at least she's not going through postpartum depression.." she said

"What's that?" I asked

"Something you don't have to worry about based on what you told me..I have to go I'm late for work" she kissed John, waved at us and she left

*Diane's POV*

"They're so precious!" Mary whispered to me when she saw the babies

"I know.." I said "We're so blessed to finally have them in our lives" I started tearing up

"Are you okay?" She looked at me

"Yeah.. I still can't believe this is happening" I said

We walked to the living room.

"Can I ask you something?" She asked

"Of course" I said

"How are you feeling? And please don't lie to me" she asked

"I'm feeling great.." I sighed "if you're asking if I'm going through postpartum depression then you don't have to worry about it.. I'm fine!" I said

"Are you sure?" She asked

"Yes! I'm fine!" I said

I heard one of the babies crying from the other room

"I'll be right back" I got up and walked to their room

*15 minutes later*

Mary walked outside of the room and knocked on the door

"Diane is everything okay?" She asked

"Yes.." I said while holding Nicole and Erica

"Can I come in?" She asked

"Sure.." I said

She walked in the room and closed the door behind her. She saw me sitting on the floor with the babies in my arms
