Moment of truth

2 days ago I opened Queen's show. To my surprise their manager tried to get me into the music business to which I declined. Freddie tried to change my mind so many times but I didn't want to get into this mess. I've heard that in the music industry they treat women like shit and I didn't want to be a part of it. Freddie eventually convinced me to give it a try and he promised me that he would protect me if anything went wrong. The truth is that he didn't convince me at all. I just agreed cause I wanted him to stop trying. I'm not intending on ruining my own life.

*Freddie's POV*

"So I finally convinced Diane to try and get her own career in music" I said and everyone looked at me

"Are you joking?" Roger said

"No I'm very serious" I said

"Freddie are you out of your mind?" Brian asked

"Do you realise how hard it is for a woman to have a proper career in music? They'll just try to control her and make her do things she doesn't want." Roger said

"What do you mean by that? Just because she's a woman doesn't mean they will try to control her.. right Brian?" I asked

"I hate to admit it but Roger is right. It's unfair how a man can do whatever he wants with his career but when it's a woman they will literally control her whole life for the money" Brian said

"What have I done?.." I asked

"I'll go talk to her!" Brian said "before you do anything again please think of the consequences first" he left the studio

*Diane's POV*

"Diane you're done for today,you can go home if you want" Rachel said

"Alright let me just finish clean up these cages and I'll be on my way" I said and I kept cleaning up. Today was a good day, every 2 months we find stray dogs and take care of them and we then make sure we find people to adopt them.

I'm the person who asks a lot of questions to potential customers who are willing to adopt a dog. I just want to make sure that these little creatures will find a home and unconditional love from the new owners.

I saw Brian walking into the store
"Hey Brian" I waved at him

"Hello love, I hope I'm not bothering" he said

"No my shift just ended, I was just cleaning up a little" I said

"I talked to Freddie" he gave me a serious look

"Just so you know I'm not going to do anything" I said

"Wait what?" He said

"I just agreed to everything he was saying to stop him from talking about it. You don't actually think I would let some random stranger control my life right?" I said

"No of course not" he looked so relieved

I finally finished cleaning

"Do you want me to take you home?" He asked

"If you want to.." I said

"I want to" he smiled

"Okay, I'll go get my purse" I walked to another room and grabbed my purse, I heard Rachel talking to Brian

"Hi Brian how are you doing?" She said

"Heyy I haven't seen you since Diane's birthday! I'm doing great how are you?" He said

"I'm great it's so good seeing you again" she said

I walked out of the room and I saw her smiling all cute and acting shy, she was all over him. I suddenly felt something I've never felt before. It was jealousy and anger. I told her what was going on with Brian and Roger and there she was, trying to flirt with him in front of me.
