Arc 2 Chapter 10: The CEO Is My Lover

As she expected, the products quickly took off. All it took was a bit of advertising and soon everyone was talking about her company V-Tech.

"Here is your first check as my secretary." Just like she had promised, after a month Jun received his first paycheck.

"Haha, you really are a strange person Sage."

Jun laughed as the two ate super.

For the past month, Jun had perfectly executed his secretary duties while watching Sage from afar.

At first he was skeptical of Sage's promise but after seeing the technology first hand he was greatly amazed by Sage's ability.

She was brilliant at work and always seemed to make decisions that best suited the company, it seemed like there was nothing she couldn't do. Yet, when at home she also lazed around not caring whether Jun, her secretary saw. It was as though she had two faces, most people only saw one, but Jun felt lucky to see both. 

Moreover, the two always ate meals together. Rather then boss and secretary, their relationship was closer to lover-

"No!" Jun silently scolded himself.

Unconsciously his heart had grown closer to the strange beauty.

Although his soul felt more at peace now then it had ever been in its entire life. Something else tugged at his heart, warning him not to get close, as if doing so would cause him an immense amount of suffering in the future.

Even though Jun couldn't understand why he felt this way, the feeling was so strong he could not ignore it. 

So although his heart long ago thawed for the beauty, Jun never got closer than necessary.

"From now on, you shall be the face of the company." Sage spoke, leading Jun to jump away from his thoughts.

"What...?"

"From this point onwards there will be many interviews regarding the CEO of V-Tech corp. However, I am not suited to appear in front of others, so from now on you shall step in my place and become the face of V-Tech. You will still go as yourself, Jun the secretary, but in doing so you will keep my identity a secret." Sage indifferently declared.

"What?! Why?"

"...too busy...Just don't wanna..." Sage indifferently spoke distractedly looking towards the ceiling that somehow seemed interesting.

"But your the creator, shouldn't you be th-"

"As your Boss, this is an order." Sage emotionlessly spoke, leaving no room for refusal

"Fine." Although Jun was angry he could never deny any of Sage's direct orders.

In truth, it wasn't because Sage was too busy or because she wasn't good in front of others. If she needed to, she could perfectly act in front of the masses, instead she had a few other reasons regarding why she chose not to appear on camera.

The first reason being that it would interfere with her future plans regarding the male lead Rey.

Second, she didn't want to leave too deep of an imprint on the world once she left. When she died she planned to make Jun the new CEO of the company, if he was already the face of V-tech, then no one would try to plot against him to take the company away from him again.

Thirdly, by doing this, Jun would become a well known bachelor, he was already, young, handsome, rich, and charismatic. By doing interviews, it would only maximize his good charms allowing for many potential marriage candidates in the future.

This time she decided she must help Jun choose a proper marriage candidate, after all, it was likely due to his last life's fiance that his soul became so empty and dark in this life. So in order to help him avoid the same fate, Sage decided to do background checks on any potential lovers or help introduce potential candidates.

She already had a few in mind, all she needed to do was get them acquainted.
